Hey there, beautiful souls, and welcome, or I should say, welcome back to mealtime magic and mayhem.
Tricia Clark:I'm Tricia Clark, your host and mealtime mentor and kitchen witch.
Tricia Clark:And honestly, just another mom out here trying to make dinnertime a little less crazy and a lot more connected.
Tricia Clark:I've missed you all, and I'm beyond excited to kick off this next chapter together.
Tricia Clark:So I want to get the elephant in the room out of the way right off the bat.
Tricia Clark:I've been, well, on a bit of a hiatus.
Tricia Clark:Life got lifey, and, you know, sometimes that's how it goes.
Tricia Clark:There you're juggling all the things, and sometimes balls drop.
Tricia Clark:And there were days when I felt like everything was just too much and I was doing all the things at about 25%, spreading myself too thin.
Tricia Clark:And somewhere along the line, this podcast, something I love dearly and really enjoy, had to take a backseat and something had to give.
Tricia Clark:And for a little while.
Tricia Clark:But I realized something in my little hiatus that I really needed to reassess.
Tricia Clark:Where I was spending my energy, where I was showing up and, honestly, where I was falling short.
Tricia Clark:And if I'm being brutally honest, I wasn't showing up for myself in a way that felt aligned.
Tricia Clark:So I took a break.
Tricia Clark:I hit pause.
Tricia Clark:I regrouped.
Tricia Clark:I gave myself some space to figure out what I really want this podcast to be and, honestly, how I want to show up in my whole damn life and what I want that to look like moving forward.
Tricia Clark:So, all that said, I'm back.
Tricia Clark:I'm here.
Tricia Clark:I'm recharged, and I'm so, so freaking excited to jump into this season.
Tricia Clark:I'm calling this season two part due.
Tricia Clark:And let me tell you, it's going to be a little different.
Tricia Clark:It feels a lot more aligned for me, and it's going to be full of all kinds of conversations that I honestly can't wait to share.
Tricia Clark:So what can you expect from season two?
Tricia Clark:Well, we're still all about turning mealtime madness into moments of magic, because family dinners aren't always the serene, Instagram worthy moments we wish they were.
Tricia Clark:More often than not, they're messy, loud, and sometimes downright chaotic or sometimes completely silent.
Tricia Clark:And the reality is, that's really where the magic lives.
Tricia Clark:It's in the imperfect, the unplanned, the mayhem.
Tricia Clark:It's really about learning how and experimenting with different ways to be present.
Tricia Clark:So this season, I am going to go down rabbit holes into all the stuff we face as busy women trying to juggle it all, whether that's work, dinner, kids, whether that's just you and your partner.
Tricia Clark:You're running a business or you work full time and run a business.
Tricia Clark:We're going to talk about turning all those daily struggles into connection points.
Tricia Clark:Instead of feeling defeated by another dinner gone wrong or maybe another night without dinner, we can actually find joy in the mess.
Tricia Clark:I just want to remind you that we're not chasing perfection.
Tricia Clark:We're really trying to embrace the imperfections together and figure out how to navigate forward.
Tricia Clark:I'm going to be bringing in some incredible guests, moms, coaches, experts, and just all around amazing women who get it and bring solutions to the challenges that you're going through.
Tricia Clark:They've lived it.
Tricia Clark:They're going to share their stories, their tips, and most importantly, their truth, their authenticity.
Tricia Clark:We're going to have some really deep conversations.
Tricia Clark:I'll also be jumping in with some solo episodes like this one, where we can chat one on one about different solutions.
Tricia Clark:My goal is to just share with you the things that come up and inspire me.
Tricia Clark:Nothing too planned out, just honest conversations about what it's like to be in the thick of it.
Tricia Clark:So why does embracing the chaos matter?
Tricia Clark:It matters because mealtime doesn't have to be perfect to be meaningful.
Tricia Clark:Honestly, some of my favorite memories around the table are even really difficult conversations where we're trying to make up from a blowout or an uncomfortable situation.
Tricia Clark:They aren't.
Tricia Clark:Aren't the picture perfect holiday meals or beautifully plated dinners.
Tricia Clark:They're the nights when nothing went to plan.
Tricia Clark:Or we were completely spontaneous.
Tricia Clark:Or the nights that we ate pancakes for dinner because I forgot to defrost the chicken again.
Tricia Clark:Or when we just have charcuterie on the balcony or a picnic in the living room floor because the kitchen table was covered in laundry.
Tricia Clark:Those moments, those messy, beautiful, real moments are where connection happens.
Tricia Clark:And it's where we lead by example to show our families and our loved ones how to move forward despite the chaos.
Tricia Clark:Right?
Tricia Clark:And that's really what mealtime magic and mayhem is all about.
Tricia Clark:It's about reclaiming the proverbial table, making it a space where it's okay to laugh, to cry, to spill your wine or drop your fork.
Tricia Clark:And it's about making it all less of a chore and more of a chance to be present and to connect.
Tricia Clark:So, a sneak peek into some upcoming episodes that I've got lined up for you.
Tricia Clark:We're going to hear from a couple of amazing health coaches.
Tricia Clark:We're going to hear from a confidence coach who's juggling her growing family, a mompreneur who's found magic in the mayhem of family, working different shifts and kids and still has figured out a way to make it all work.
Tricia Clark:And even a guest who will show us how the stars, yep, the actual stars, can actually help us navigate the dinner table drama with our kids.
Tricia Clark:She's involved in parenting astrology, and I'm super curious to learn more about that.
Tricia Clark:And of course, we'll have some deep, real conversations about everything from finding joy in the kitchen to how to keep it together when we're not finding joy in the kitchen and when the kids won't eat what you cooked.
Tricia Clark:So I hope that we laugh.
Tricia Clark:I hope that maybe we even cry a little and get real about what it means to try and make mealtime matter and bring those important moments that I feel like we've lost in today's society and bring them back when everything else feels like it's spiraling.
Tricia Clark:So I thank you for being here.
Tricia Clark:Whether you're folding laundry, driving to work, whether you're hiding in the bathroom for five minutes of peace, I see you.
Tricia Clark:I appreciate you, and I'm so glad we're back together in this space.
