What do you do when the legacy you inherited isn't the legacy you want to leave behind?
In Episode 3 of Legacy (Re)Builders, Matt's former Geneva College roommate Paul Korns joins Matt and Colt for an honest conversation about broken families, fatherhood, addiction, anger, repentance, God's providence, and the grace that can change the trajectory of a family.
Paul shares the story of losing his biological father after years of addiction, his own struggles as a young man, and the moment he realized he was becoming the very kind of man he never wanted to become. Through God's grace, that wasn't the end of his story.
More than 20 years after Matt and Paul met as students at Geneva College, they look back at the men they were then—and at the remarkable providence of God in giving them families, faith, meaningful work, and an opportunity to build something different for the generations coming after them.
Paul also talks about the impact of the stepfather who became his dad, what he's trying to pass on to his own children, building a business they may one day inherit, generosity, gratitude, and why he hopes his life will ultimately be remembered for faithfulness to God.
