When Heather Bogle’s body was discovered in the trunk of her car, there was evidence - DNA - which should have led straight to the killer. Instead, the investigation was derailed by the county's Sheriff Department and the misconduct of Lead Detective Sean O’Connell.
* Heather disappeared on April 9, 2015, after clocking out of her night shift at the Whirlpool plant.
* Investigators found Heather in her own vehicle. In the trunk. She had been beaten, shot twice, and her hair and nails had been cut to remove DNA.
* Detective O’Connell publicly named "persons of interest" despite knowing their DNA did not match the evidence found at the scene.
