The U.S. has escalated its attacks on Iran in kind, rather than in scale. Over the weekend, the U.S. hit a desalination plant in Iran while Iran responded by hitting two desalination plants in Kuwait and Bahrain, respectively. But even here Iran has the advantage on the escalation ladder and Trump still has no path to victory.
