The Populist pro-Moscow party led by former prime minister Robert Fico has won the Slovak parliamentary election for the fourth time in the history of Slovakia.

Most likely, the new prime minister will be the man who was kicked out of the government office by the people. Robert Fico was forced to step down as prime minister following the murder of investigative journalist Jan Kuciak in 2018.

The liberal party Progressive Slovakia surprised the public and ended up second. The party led by the vice president of the European parliament is a newcomer in the Slovak Congress house.

The Slovak minority of the Roma people massively supported former prime minister Igor Matovic. Some people say it's because parliamentary campaign in which the OĽaNO party promised a 500 euro election reward. Others say it's thanks to Pačivale Roma movement on the candidate list of OĽaNO.
