Join us for Decadent Care, November 8-9 in Winnipeg, MB:
Can one act of kindness spark a lasting relationship? It began with delivering two beds, but the connection deepened as Rob and his team saw the family's sparse living conditions and decided to step up. Bringing more than just furniture, they created a genuine bond, transforming lives with each visit.
The culmination of this heartfelt support was a Christmas miracle, complete with a tree, ornaments, and gifts, orchestrated by their church community. This is a powerful testament to how small acts of kindness can weave together to create a tapestry of love and support. Listen and be inspired by the amazing outcomes of compassion, connection, and the robust power of community involvement.

Speaker:Enough chit chat. Let's get on with the summer Speedos.
Speaker:Hi. My name is Rob Allen. Recently, we Medicare
Speaker:portal need that was very special to us and
Speaker:impactful. We went to, meet the need and
Speaker:2 beds are requested. So we showed up with the beds and and we met
Speaker:mom and the family and found out that, you know, they had been reunified
Speaker:after, about 8 months of being apart and she was just
Speaker:trying to get her life restarted.
Speaker:You know, we looked around the apartment. There was really just, nothing.
Speaker:There was a couple of blankets and pillows on the floor where they had been
Speaker:sleeping and no furniture whatsoever.
Speaker:We asked her, you know, don't you think you need some other things? And she
Speaker:said, no, this will be great. You know, she didn't wanna ask for too much.
Speaker:So, you know, after talking for a while, we kinda said, you know, we'd
Speaker:love to to really bring you some furniture if we could.
Speaker:And, you know, we think that we have enough connections that
Speaker:God can make that happen.
Speaker:To make a long story short, I guess, we've been back 6
Speaker:times to see her and her kiddos and have made quite the connection
Speaker:with them. Really, appreciate, you know, what she's gone
Speaker:through. And as strange as it sounds now when we call her
Speaker:and she calls us by our first names, which just seems,
Speaker:like that makes the connection all the more real.
Speaker:Our very last time that we were able to, go over there,
Speaker:God blessed us with a Christmas tree and some ornaments with them.
Speaker:Just, you know, didn't cost us anything. Just God made it
Speaker:happen. So she was so appreciative, and, you know, we've really
Speaker:developed a relationship.
Speaker:On top of that, we had a businessman at our church who
Speaker:said, hey, do you know any families who would possibly wanna be
Speaker:adopted this Christmas? And and, of course, we said, yes. We'd love
Speaker:to tell you about this family. So we, you know, got permission
Speaker:from her, and he was able to go over there with his wife
Speaker:and, you know, with just a slew of Christmas presents just to bless
Speaker:them at Christmas. So, you know, at 1 point,
Speaker:you know, we were all just talking outside of the apartment,
Speaker:mom and the 2 kiddos and us, and, you know, they hugged us
Speaker:and we were able to just tell her how proud we were of her
Speaker:and, you know, how, you know, we were just praying for her and if she
Speaker:needed anything and just, it was a great a great connection
Speaker:that we were able to make. Blessed us for sure, and we were able to
Speaker:bless her and God came through in an amazing way. So I just
Speaker:wanted to share that and hope this blesses you as well.
