Feeling exhausted, cynical, or overburdened in your ministry? There is hope…
We suffer burnout because we overwork ourselves. We suffer burnout when we experience
disappointment, betrayal, and rejection. We suffer burnout as we fall short of our own expectations.
No one who dares venture great things escapes burnout symptoms.
But we don’t
have to succumb to burnout or let it destroy our ministry calling.
When I feel the pressure of where I must be next, I am learning to capture myself in this day
and try to give God my tomorrow. When I sense that someone needs ministry from me, I do not
assume that I was preordained to be their answer, just the servant who points them to the One
who is the answer. I am learning to reset my expectations upon miracles, signs, and wonders
according to God’s good pleasure. I am learning that most healing is a process, not a
destination. Most of all, I have been learning that God is a good Father – not a slave master. He
is the patient, loving Abba who sees me as His beloved child.
Whether you recognize that you are approaching burnout, have reached it, or simply want to
learn how to establish healthy life habits to avoid letting it impact your ministry, this book is for
you.
