Welcome Tracey Moore & Joe Morton:

We’re joined on the Starline by the stars of an innovative, interactive interview show like no other. One is a celebrity acting coach, casting director and director. The other is a talented actor of stage, film and TV. We welcome co-hosts of Crackle’s “Inside the Black Box” Tracey Moore and Joe Morton.

Friends, let’s go Beyond the Mic.

“Inside the Black Box” takes the rules of a traditional  interview show and breaks every one of them. It’s not about you two but everyone else in the room, your guests, your students and everyone watching. Why was that important for you to show?

The students of acting you are helping are given publicity with their social media handles up on screen as they perform. As you assist others with the knowledge of your own journeys, how does that one glimpse of “I got it” from someone on stage hit you?

You share experiences, spotlighting the world’s greatest black entertainers but I want to know “the ultimate one”. The one guest that if they did your show, you could say, I’m happy we can stop here.

Which person no longer on this earth would you want to have 20 minutes with to learn, laugh and listen to?

The Rockin' 8:

It’s time for the Rockin’ 8, 8 random questions; answer with the first thing that comes to your mind. There is no Pressure. Since we have 2 guests, we’ll split the 8 in half and start with ladies first.

1. Tracey, if you could sprinkle pixie dust on a person and give them one gift, what would that gift be?

2. Joe, when was the last time you went and enjoyed a canoe ride on the lake?

3. Tracey, what’s your favorite scented candle?

4. Joe, best blues album of all time?

5. Tracey, favorite memory from the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts?

6. Joe, first act you ever saw at the Apollo?

7. Tracey, the list of the people you have discovered is a who’s who of talent. But who was the one star you’re still kicking yourself over ?

8. Joe, first instrument you were given and do you still have it?

The Back Half:

Joe, how has your father’s effort to integrate the U.S. Army changed the way you see the world?

Tracey, March 13th 2017 you said “We have such a great show in store for you America!” How has the dream of this show now a reality changed the way you dream?

For both of you, who are the talented people that America hasn’t seen yet that have crossed your eye and you instantly said, oh they’re going to go far?

Joe, what do you want to be remembered for?

Tracey, who touched your heart first in this field and changed the way you are forever?

Joe, what role do you think didn’t get the attention you thought it deserved and has the greatest piece of your heart?

When you work with someone a friendship can develop. Tracey you said it was a dream to work with Joe. You two together on stage is palpable.

How has working with Joe and this show changed you?  Joe, same question?

Tracey, if you could have replaced any other actor in any series or film with Joe, which would it be?

Joe, what did you use your first check for?

As you both continue to teach, mentor and help others, how has this experience changed you?

One Big Question:

You can teach someone reading, morals and how to perform, but you can’t teach heart. Where do you see the heart of the next generation and does it give you pause or hope?

The Wrap:

Joe love the blues of Robert Johnson, Tracey got kicked out of vocal class for starting a fight. They want you to experience “Inside the Black Box” on Crackle. Tracey Moore, Joe Morton thank you for taking the time to talk with us today.

And that my friends is Beyond the Mic.
