J: Welcome to Gadgets for Families - the tech podcast for the family IT person…and everyone else that’s wants to get more out of life through their tech.

G: And I'm your co-host Greg Cunningham. Thank you for tuning into this trailer episode. We hope that over the next few minutes we will convince to come back for the official launch of the podcast on May 10th.
J: We've been working on this idea for quite some time and are excited to share it with you. We absolutely love our gadgets and most any tech (at least when it's working). We also find ourselves in the sometimes unenviably position of provide support to anyone and everyone that knows us. Sometimes that's not great.
G: I know for me there are times when I wish I wasn't the go to. But I do love my gadgets so that's unlikely to change anytime soon. So what we are envisioning is a podcast where those of you that can relate to these feelings can turn to for assistance. And even maybe refer some of those in your life to it as well for some self-service style support.
J: Technology has become one of the largest aspects of all of our lives but that may not always be a good thing. How you use the tech is what really determines whether it’s good or bad.
G: As the podcast moves forward, we will cover a variety of topics but our goal is to help you and your families to get more out of you lives through technology. Think about things like tips and tricks, aha moments, practical advice and information you can start using immediately and then deep dives for those that like to geek out like we do. So if you have use tech in your life, there will be something in this podcast for you.
J: For our launch week, we have three episodes planned. First we want to introduce ourselves and give you some of our tech origin stories. We also want to give you a baseline for where we are starting tech wise. Just as a heads up, there is going to be a heavy focus on Apple gadgets but I think you'll find some variety weaved in.
G: And then to wrap up the launch week, we will launch a pro-type episode. Essentially that means if you listen to that episode, you'll know how our future episodes will flow.
