At first sight, Aalia Lanius is a powerhouse, she speaks up about an amazing mission that is driven by social impact and supporting those who were victimized in any way. Behind the scenes she is a survivor of abandonment, physical abuse, and cancer, yet, she transformed her story from victim to survivor to conqueror. Aalia Lanius is an Executive Producer, Social Entrepreneur, Multiple-Award-Winning Novelist and host of the award-nominated podcast show, “Unsugarcoated with Aalia”. As the founder and President of Unsugarcoated Media, a 501c3 media production enterprise that creates social impact through storytelling, she is a thought-leader in the area of creating socially conscious media. As an author and creative herself, she unapologetically shares her personal struggles and triumphs in an effort to offer inspiration to others and help survivors of trauma lead mentally healthier lives. She is the creator of EmpowerCon, she has released two powerful novels, with her most recent garnering praise and three international awards for its representation of multicultural fiction. Her podcast was recently nominated for Best Use of Podcast for the 2020 Shorty Social Good Awards.
