Some weeks life just piles up. The stress, the to-do lists, the pressure to keep it all together — and before you know it, you're carrying more than you were ever meant to carry. When that happens to me, I've learned the best thing I can do isn't to add more. It's to go back to basics.
Not basic like small or simple, but basic like foundational. The things that hold everything else up. There are three that keep bringing me back to steady ground, over and over again, no matter what season I'm in.
If you're feeling stretched thin this week, this one's for you. A gentle reset, three reminders, and a little more room to breathe.
Scripture (NIV): Ephesians 3:17-18 — "And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ."
Reflection Questions:
- Which of these three — His love, His forgiveness, or His presence — do I need to hear most right now?
- When I feel like I've fallen short, do I actually let myself receive God's forgiveness, or do I keep holding onto it?
- What would change today if I really believed He's with me, even in the seasons I can't feel Him?
