Welcome back to Altar’d Reality! Today, Jen, Lauren, and Tassy wrap up their series on the end times by looking past the chaos of judgment to the incredible beauty of our eternal future. From the Millennial Reign to the streets of gold in the New Jerusalem, we’re asking the big questions: Will we be bored? Will we recognize our family? And what exactly are we going to be doing for forever?

In this episode, we cover:

• The Counterfeit Trinity: We break down the roles of the unholy trio during the Tribulation: Satan (the counterfeit Father), the Antichrist (the counterfeit Son/political leader), and the False Prophet (the counterfeit Holy Spirit/religious deceiver who performs signs).
• The Thousand-Year (Millennial) Reign: We explore this distinct period where Jesus reigns on Earth while Satan is bound in a pit. We discuss why this time is necessary to fulfill six specific biblical promises:

1. To Israel: The full 300,000 square miles of land promised to Abraham.
2. To Israel: A new covenant where the knowledge of God is written on their hearts.
3. To the Church: The promise that believers will rule and reign alongside Christ.
4. To the Nations: A global peace where weapons are turned into farming tools and war is no longer studied.
5. To Creation: The "reversal of the fall" where nature is no longer red in tooth and claw—lions eat hay, and children play safely with cobras.
6. To Jesus: The fulfillment of his earthly reign on the throne of King David.

• Glorified vs. Mortal Bodies: We clarify that during the Millennial Reign, raptured saints will be in glorified, "prototype" bodies like Jesus had (able to eat and walk through walls), while those who survive the Tribulation will still be in mortal bodies, procreating and living much longer lives.
• The New Jerusalem: We look at the literal description of the city in Revelation 21—a massive 1,500-mile cube that would stretch from Texas to the Great Lakes and tower 20 times higher than the edge of space.
• The Boredom Myth: We tackle the fear that heaven is just an endless, repetitive church service. Drawing from a sweet testimony, we discuss how God is infinite; he will share something new about himself, we will worship, and he will never run out of new revelations for all eternity.

Our Challenge to You

This week, spend some time reading Revelation 21 and 22. Instead of focusing on what you're leaving behind on Earth, focus on what will be missing in eternity: no more death, no more pain, no more crying, and no more separation. Ask yourself: How would I live today if I truly grasped the weight of the "forever" that is waiting for me?
