Shownotes

Who do you pick to be your treasurer? The most trusted person. Jesus fed the bread to Judas knowing exactly what would happen next. BB says Jesus and Satan are the same — Satan is the shadow of Jesus. Jesus used his own shadow to get himself to his fate. And Judas loved Jesus. That's why he could be trusted to do what needed to be done. Sometimes we are Jesus and sometimes we are Judas. Both are necessary. The betrayal is the redirect. The adversary is the coach. And the person who hurt you most may have had a contract with you all along. Know thyself and balance your energy.

Takeaways:

  • Judas was chosen as treasurer because he was the most trusted — that reframe changes the entire story
  • Jesus used his own shadow to get himself to his fate — the shadow is not the enemy it is the instrument
  • Sometimes we are Jesus and sometimes we are Judas — both roles are necessary to arrive at the destination
  • A betrayal in your life may be a redirect not an attack — someone fulfilling a contract to get you where you need to go
  • The adversary is the coach — pushing you beyond what's comfortable and into what's necessary

Speaker A:

So in all actuality, your.

Speaker A:

Your chiron is in.

Speaker A:

In the second house of value.

Speaker A:

And so for you, everything that, in a way, everything that hurt you and wounded you, you found value in it because that's.

Speaker A:

That's where you teach from.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker B:

And that's the wisdom of the wound.

Speaker B:

Yes, the wisdom of the wound.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker A:

So that.

Speaker A:

That shows, Bibi, that in a way, if you was being judgmental of yourself.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I use that word on purpose.

Speaker A:

Sounds like you done the work.

Speaker B:

Yes.

Speaker A:

Because if you haven't this time, you would just.

Speaker A:

You will be feeling different and doing different things in this time period.

Speaker B:

Yes, yes.

Speaker B:

And.

Speaker B:

And that's.

Speaker B:

That's why I keep going every.

Speaker B:

Every time I ever preach the sermon or every time I ever teach.

Speaker B:

I cannot just step up into this space and teach you something.

Speaker B:

I first have to walk through it before I'm allowed to teach it.

Speaker B:

And that has been this.

Speaker B:

That's been the story of my whole life.

Speaker A:

Now, I got a question.

Speaker A:

Do you ever give yourself enough credit for the distance you've traveled?

Speaker A:

You ever sit back long enough to reminisce and give yourself that credit?

Speaker B:

Sometimes I will.

Speaker B:

Sometimes when it.

Speaker B:

Yes, I.

Speaker B:

Sometimes I do sit back and say, wow, this has been.

Speaker B:

I've lived so many lifetimes and died so many times.

Speaker B:

Died and been reborn so many times in this lifetime.

Speaker B:

Just in this one, I've resolved a lot of karma.

Speaker B:

I would.

Speaker B:

You know, I was a drug addict, so I came out of that and I built a ministry for drug addicts.

Speaker B:

You know, I was a pastor that kind of probably, you know, used the sword to cause some religious trauma.

Speaker B:

So I walked out of the church and created a place for people who had religious trauma.

Speaker B:

And then I created a space for people who were rejected all the way around.

Speaker B:

You know, especially in Mississippi.

Speaker B:

I have this crystal shop, this beautiful shop that's that we have all.

Speaker B:

If you walk in, you see Hinduism.

Speaker A:

And Buddhism and speaking of, how is it having a.

Speaker A:

A crystal shop in the heart of the Bible belt?

Speaker B:

You know what?

Speaker B:

I wouldn't have it anywhere else.

Speaker B:

I'm just gonna tell you it's amazing.

Speaker A:

It's kind of like you setting up shop on enemy.

Speaker A:

Enemy lands.

Speaker B:

Every time.

Speaker B:

Every time.

Speaker B:

I do that every time.

Speaker B:

That's why I got a queer church.

Speaker B:

I got a queer church, for God's sakes.

Speaker B:

I got a. I got a magic shop.

Speaker A:

Do you think you an antagonist?

Speaker B:

I'm a disruptor.

Speaker B:

Well, non conformist.

Speaker B:

I'm a non conformist.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Where do you sit on the.

Speaker A:

With fate and free will.

Speaker B:

Where do you sit with that fate and free will?

Speaker B:

I.

Speaker B:

You know what I think?

Speaker B:

I think that my will is thy will.

Speaker B:

At this point in my life, I have realized that.

Speaker B:

Let me tell you a story.

Speaker B:

Let me tell you this.

Speaker B:

Let me tell you a story.

Speaker B:

So Jesus went into the wilderness, right?

Speaker B:

For 40 days and 40 nights, just like all Moses did it, Josh, you know, and that 40 significant.

Speaker B:

But I won't go into all that.

Speaker B:

But it said he wrestled with Satan.

Speaker B:

Now, I believe that Satan and Jesus are the same.

Speaker B:

Satan is the shadow of Jesus, and Jesus is, you know, he was.

Speaker B:

Everything Satan said was true.

Speaker A:

What a twin brother, right?

Speaker B:

It was the extremity of the truth.

Speaker B:

Jesus said, oh, but let's do this.

Speaker B:

And so he was tempering his own nature.

Speaker B:

Okay?

Speaker B:

And then.

Speaker B:

Then after it was all over with, the angels came and dealt with him.

Speaker B:

All right, so let's fast forward to the Last Supper.

Speaker A:

All right?

Speaker B:

The Last Supper, Jesus had washed all the feet of the disciples, including Judas.

Speaker B:

And then he's sitting there and he says, I'm going to paraphrase.

Speaker B:

He says, but one of you will betray me.

Speaker B:

And they're all like, oh, my God, who will it be?

Speaker B:

And he said.

Speaker B:

And it says.

Speaker B:

He said, it's the one to whom I feed.

Speaker B:

And he dips the bread and he feeds it to Judas.

Speaker B:

And it says the devil entered him.

Speaker B:

So Jesus used his shadow to possess and influence Judas to betray him.

Speaker B:

Because Jesus knew that he was going to betray himself and betray his own dharma and his own fate, because he knew that he was going to go into that garden and he was going to pray that it be removed from him.

Speaker B:

And he knew that when he prayed that it be removed from him, that it would.

Speaker B:

So he needed Judas.

Speaker B:

He needed an outside influence to come in and take that from him.

Speaker B:

Take that.

Speaker B:

And so Judas came in and betrayed him and got him to his faith.

Speaker B:

Okay?

Speaker B:

And so what I'm saying to you is I believe that sometimes we're Jesus and sometimes we're Judas.

Speaker B:

And sometimes the people around us are Jesus, and sometimes they're Judas.

Speaker B:

But both of them are necessary to get us to our destination, to make sure that we get to our faith.

Speaker B:

Now, I do believe that we can override it, but I've surrendered to that.

Speaker B:

And so I understand that if I have a betrayal in my life, it's direct.

Speaker B:

It's redirecting me, and it's not an enemy.

Speaker B:

My.

Speaker B:

Our higher self does not have enemies.

Speaker B:

Our higher self only has gurus.

Speaker B:

And so I believe when I.

Speaker B:

When I don't understand, when I know that something, when I just pause and I just say, I trust you.

Speaker B:

I trust my divine connection.

Speaker B:

I trust my divine self.

Speaker B:

And I don't understand what's happening.

Speaker B:

I don't understand how it's going to happen.

Speaker B:

I just know that I'm in the right place at the right time, and I'm not judging any of that.

Speaker A:

You know, you brought up the story of Judas.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And I heard something recently that kind of had me thinking.

Speaker A:

I was like, wow, I never heard.

Speaker A:

I never thought about it like that.

Speaker A:

Now, Judas's position within the Disciples, he was the treasurer.

Speaker B:

Yeah, he was.

Speaker A:

And when you think about the treasure, who is.

Speaker A:

Who's usually picked to be the treasurer?

Speaker A:

The most trusted.

Speaker B:

That's right.

Speaker B:

And that's good.

Speaker B:

That's.

Speaker B:

That's it right there.

Speaker B:

And look, there it is.

Speaker B:

I love that.

Speaker A:

And look.

Speaker A:

And the reason he picked Judas, because he was the most trusted to.

Speaker A:

Even though he.

Speaker A:

He loved Jesus, he was gonna go get the job done, do what was.

Speaker A:

What was entrusted in him to do.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

That's really.

Speaker B:

They had a contract.

Speaker B:

When Jesus says, do what you came to do swiftly, my friend.

Speaker B:

That word friend is a contract.

Speaker B:

They had a contract.

Speaker A:

And, and.

Speaker A:

And at that point, it's kind of like shifted the perspective of Judas in a way.

Speaker A:

When I started thinking about, I was like, huh, that's very interesting.

Speaker B:

I love that piece.

Speaker B:

Thank you for that.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.
