Shownotes

A great conversation with my friend, Alex Gould, about his journey from radio DJ to venture capitalist and Stanford professor, including some lessons for entrepreneurs.

  • Get as much done as you can without taking money
  • Be in markets that are growing and getting really big
  • Big believer in investing in the right people/teams
  • Sometimes have to go through stress to realize team is right
  • 99% of deals come from trusted referrals
  • Getting an idea doing
  • Do something, don’t just talk about it
  • Find something actionable
  • Put yourself out there and meet as many people as you can who can potentially be helpful. Network, hang out, co-exist
  • Find something you love doing so it doesn’t feel as much like work
