The Secret of Patience – Daily Wisdomek with Gramps. We are on Day: ate a Living Legacy. Proverbs:
Today’s quote is from Ralph Waldo Emerson, and it is: Adopt the pace of mother nature; her secret is patience.
Secret of Patience
Our lives, especially in the western world, are fast-paced, rushing around to try and cram into each day as many activities as possible. While it may have slowed slightly during the pandemic, and most people reassessed life, it appears to be resuming for many as hectic as it was before. Although I fall prey to this myself, as I grow older, I realize that an always-on, always busy lifestyle is not the type of life God intended for us. Therefore, while we are to be diligent and work hard, if we follow the example of Jesus Christ, we will take time to pause from our business and invest time with God in prayer and meditation on His Word. We need to have patience in all things. If it is important enough, it will still be there after a time of restoration. Therefore, let us purposely set time aside each day and week to stop, reflect, and meditate on all the good things that God has given to us. Let us then sing praises of gratitude to the giver of all that is good.
2 Peter 3:8-9
But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.’to listen to any of our past:
