Shownotes

In this episode of the Thoughtful Entrepreneur, your host Josh Elledge talks to the CEO of Cyberbacker, Craig Goodliffe.

Cyberbacker ensures you have the suitable partner of your choice for your business. Their services offer virtual partners that will help you run your business day to day. Craig shares finding great partners is hard, and finding a great partner you can actually retain is even harder.

Josh and Craig explore the differences between VAs and Cyberbackers. Cyberbackers are vetted thoroughly in advance for equipment requirements, competency, and aptitude. They are vetted for retention reasons. Cyberbacker offers amazing benefits to their employees to encourage and incentivize staying.

Craig shares that entrepreneurs are trying to achieve three things when they operate their businesses; they want freedom, flexibility, and money. To be a great entrepreneur, you have to prioritize profit to get freedom and money. Craig also talks about how Cyberbackers vet their employees so that every hire is the right fit for the businesses they work with.

Craig shares that the best talent is attracted by bad past experiences with clients; because Cyberbackers are given unprecedented opportunities and benefits with Craig’s company, they perform optimally and stay with the company.

Craig also discusses some of the common issues entrepreneurs face when hiring VAs – regular VAs work for a variety of clients, not just you. Cyberbacker’s profit sharing system gives employees an even greater incentive to stay partnered with the entrepreneurs they work with. The relationships stay one to one, rather than one partner to many.

Josh and Craig also explore what entrepreneurs are looking for the most when they work with Cyberbacker; they are looking for partners to keep them focused in the day to day and they’re looking for social media managers. Other popular needs include appointment setters, accountants, transaction management, legal compliance management, and more.

There are many benefits to working with a firm like Cyberbacker. Craig shares that lower, entry level partners on their platform are paid about $1,200 to $1,500 monthly. He adds that if you’re looking for partners like this, budget $15,000 to $20,000 annually for their pay.

Josh shares some nuggets about the investment of delegation and time freedom and how to weigh your options. What makes the most sense for your business? Will it be more lucrative for you to have more time available to you? If you need someone to help you manage your day to day, commit to making that investment. Deeply assess where your needs are, then consider hiring a partner.
