Speaker A:
Hello, everyone, everywhere.
Speaker A:
Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.
Speaker A:
Welcome to freedom.
Speaker A:
I'm sorry.
Speaker A:
The Faith Based Business podcast today, Praise God.
Speaker A:
And we're so blessed that you're joining us.
Speaker A:
As this week we've been talking about whether or not you should use coaching to help grow your business or whatever it is you're doing.
Speaker A:
Amen.
Speaker A:
Today let's break out what coaching really is.
Speaker A:
Bottom line, it's helping people to get results.
Speaker A:
Amen.
Speaker A:
I go ahead and share this screen here with you and click on here.
Speaker A:
Move me down here so you see that?
Speaker A:
Praise the Lord.
Speaker A:
All right, so if you're writing a book or something, I mean, if the book was complete, you know, the audios are complete, the videos are complete.
Speaker A:
Well, why aren't people getting results without coaching?
Speaker A:
I mean, everything's right there.
Speaker A:
Well, it's because there's a gap, a gap between the information and the actual implementation.
Speaker A:
It is very difficult for many people just to read something and then just go and do it.
Speaker A:
It's a different medium.
Speaker A:
It's hard for many people to listen to something and then just go do it because that's in a different medium.
Speaker A:
It's difficult for some people to just watch a video and then go do it because that's in a different medium.
Speaker A:
Right.
Speaker A:
Think about the mental state that you get into.
Speaker A:
If you watch a video in an observation state, you are an observer.
Speaker A:
If you watch a reality TV show, you are an observer.
Speaker A:
You're not out there starving to death on a fake island somewhere.
Speaker A:
You are an observer.
Speaker A:
There's a huge gap between sitting on your couch and going out there and doing it while you're starving to death.
Speaker A:
Amen.
Speaker A:
That's a huge gap, you say.
Speaker A:
Well, that's just an extreme example there, brother Bob.
Speaker A:
The truth of the matter is, it's the same way online.
Speaker A:
Amen.
Speaker A:
If you watch something, you are a watcher, you are a viewer, you are observing it.
Speaker A:
And to take a viewer or watcher or a reader of a book and get them to get up and go play baseball like a professional, that's not easy to do, is it?
Speaker A:
I mean, I can read all about throwing a fastball.
Speaker A:
I can also buy a baseball and take what I read and hold it in a certain way and then throw the ball.
Speaker A:
But I cannot achieve a professional level fastball unless I hire a coach who knows how to find the little things I'm probably doing wrong and then help me to fix them.
Speaker A:
Amen.
Speaker A:
Does that make sense?
Speaker A:
Well, is the exact same same thing in any information niche that you're doing as well.
Speaker A:
So I ask you again, what is coaching?
Speaker A:
Coaching is are you ready?
Speaker A:
Implementation.
Speaker A:
Coaching is just taking you by the hand and giving you step by step instructions, holding you accountable.
Speaker A:
Are you doing the work or not?
Speaker A:
Maybe giving you some tough love from time to time as well.
Speaker A:
It's saying, look, you paid for this coaching.
Speaker A:
You show up every week but you're not doing the work.
Speaker A:
What's up?
Speaker A:
What's going on?
Speaker A:
Are you serious about wanting to do this or not?
Speaker A:
That folks is coaching.
Speaker A:
Coaching has a level of interaction that will lead folks from just learning the information to actually implementing or putting that information to good use.
Speaker A:
Amen.
Speaker A:
You can call it coaching, you call it mentoring you teaching with access to an instructor or whatever you want to call it.
Speaker A:
It's still coaching and it will work in any niche, guaranteed.
Speaker A:
It will work if you do it correctly.
Speaker A:
Should you consider coaching?
Speaker A:
Should you consider, you know, being a coach and helping other people with what you do?
Speaker A:
Should you decide to teach what you know?
Speaker A:
Well, that's what we're going to talk about next time.
Speaker A:
Praise God.
