Speaker:
Danny: One thing that can be really easy to overcomplicate in podcasting is your call to action.
Speaker:
Danny: Because a lot of podcasters can often feel like they need to ask listeners to
Speaker:
Danny: do everything at the end of an episode.
Speaker:
Danny: Follow the show. Leave a review. Join a newsletter.
Speaker:
Danny: Follow on social media. Check out the website. But the problem is,
Speaker:
Danny: when you ask for too much, people usually do nothing.
Speaker:
Danny: So it helps to be a bit more intentional with your CTA.
Speaker:
Danny: Instead of asking, what could I promote here, ask, what's the one action that
Speaker:
Danny: makes the most sense for this episode?
Speaker:
Danny: For example, if you've just shared a practical tip that listeners might want
Speaker:
Danny: more of, a newsletter sign-up could make sense.
Speaker:
Danny: If you're trying to build audience retention, maybe the goal is simply getting
Speaker:
Danny: people to follow the podcast.
Speaker:
Danny: Or if the episode naturally started a conversation, directing listeners to reply
Speaker:
Danny: on social media might fit better. The key thing is alignment.
Speaker:
Danny: Your CTA should feel connected to the episodes somebody just listened to,
Speaker:
Danny: not randomly added at the end.
Speaker:
Danny: And here, simple usually works better.
Speaker:
Danny: One clear action, one reason to do it. Because a good call to action shouldn't feel like a checklist.
Speaker:
Danny: It should feel like the natural next step.
Speaker:
Danny: Until the next time, happy podcasting.
