Amanda Paolicelli:

What is up, radiant icons, and welcome to the first

2

:

ever episode of Dare to be Iconic.

3

:

I am your host, Amanda Paolicelli.

4

:

Before we go into our tea time session,

I spill all the tea about my life.

5

:

I dare you to go to daretobeiconic.com and

subscribe to my newsletter so that you can

6

:

join our beautiful radiant icon community.

7

:

So,

8

:

How do you dare to be iconic?

9

:

What does dare to be iconic mean?

10

:

How do you get to dare to be iconic?

11

:

And how did I get to dare to be iconic?

12

:

How did I get into this dare to be iconic

mindset where I embrace my iconic self?

13

:

How did this all start?

14

:

Our tea time sesh is starting now, and

it starts with a little heartbreak.

15

:

Let's get into it.

16

:

Now, I genuinely know in my soul

that my Dare To Be Iconic origin

17

:

story started with a little

heartbreak and then you know what?

18

:

I don't even know why I'm saying little.

19

:

It was a big heartbreak.

20

:

It was very traumatic and I can

laugh about it now because I'm so

21

:

far removed from the situation.

22

:

But, I genuinely believe that my traumatic

breakup changed the trajectory of my

23

:

life because if it didn't happen the

way that it did ,which I will get to

24

:

in a second, I would not be the person

that I am today, and I can confidently

25

:

say that I truly love who I am.

26

:

But anyway, let's dive into what

actually happened in my breakup?

27

:

So I was in a long term relationship

for about three and a half years and I

28

:

was at the stage in that relationship

where we were future planning.

29

:

So we were talking about marriage.

30

:

We were looking at rings.

31

:

We were looking at places to move

out of state together- all these

32

:

like really big adult things that

I genuinely never would have like

33

:

thought of me doing in my entire life.

34

:

I was doing it.

35

:

I look back at that time and

I'm like, what was I doing?

36

:

I was never the girl

who was like, Oh my God.

37

:

let me plan my wedding.

38

:

I'm going to have this certain

type of wedding dress look.

39

:

I could care less what I

was wearing to my wedding.

40

:

I wake up Monday morning,

th,:

41

:

So I open the email from my ex,

and it's like, I left you a little

42

:

something at your front door.

43

:

Didn't think anything of it.

44

:

I mean, yeah, it was strange.

45

:

I was like, why is he leaving me an email?

46

:

But, okay, like, whatever.

47

:

I'm just, I'm gonna go to the front

door and see what he has for me.

48

:

So I go to the front door, and I see

this box the size of a dresser, like

49

:

literally the size of a dresser,

y'all, with a letter on top, and

50

:

the letter is addressed Amanda.

51

:

That should have been my

first clue, but it wasn't.

52

:

I disregard the letter and I go to

open the box and I see all the gifts

53

:

that I had given him within our

three and a half year relationship.

54

:

And I was like, what is this?

55

:

I opened the letter and within the

first two lines, my ex ended our

56

:

three and a half year relationship.

57

:

He ended three and a half years

of our lives through a letter

58

:

and then requested that we never

talk again and then blocked me.

59

:

So, as you can see, that was traumatic.

60

:

So for the months following the breakup,

I really let what he wrote about me

61

:

in that letter define how I saw myself

and I really let it dictate the course

62

:

of my life for about two months.

63

:

And I remember being so tired of running

away from every single thing in my life.

64

:

I was running away from myself.

65

:

I was running away from my family.

66

:

I was running away from my friends.

67

:

I was pretending to be okay when

really I was just a broken mess

68

:

on the inside because again, I was

truly letting his words define me.

69

:

I was letting his actions

dictate who I was.

70

:

I truly thought in my mind

that his actions were a

71

:

reflection of me and not him.

72

:

When in fact, it's the complete opposite.

73

:

Someone else's actions will always

be a reflection of them and not you.

74

:

Someone else's words do not

define how you see yourself.

75

:

All that truly ever matters

is how you see yourself.

76

:

But at that time, I couldn't see that.

77

:

So what did I do?

78

:

I embrace the dare to be iconic mindset.

79

:

Dare to be iconic basically means

that you are daring to be yourself.

80

:

That no matter what room you walk

into, you are so comfortable and

81

:

confident with who you are at your core.

82

:

That you're choosing yourself and stepping

into your power and creating that life

83

:

that you want for yourself because

you are embracing your iconic self.

84

:

Whenever you put yourself

first and make yourself a

85

:

priority, it opens up the doors.

86

:

For amazing opportunities to fall into

place because you are loving who you

87

:

are and are unapologetic about it.

88

:

So that's exactly what I did 2023 was

my year of growth and honestly, it

89

:

was one of the best years of my life.

90

:

Because by embracing that mindset and

embracing my iconic self and stepping

91

:

into my power and doing things for me for

the first time in my life, I was truly

92

:

able to get to know who I am, and that's

what Dare to Be Iconic is all about.

93

:

Getting to know who you are, at your

core, and loving it, no matter what.

94

:

So, how can you do it too?

95

:

So here are some steps on how you can

Dare to Be Iconic in your daily life.

96

:

You're going to hear me say this a lot,

but you need to make yourself a priority.

97

:

You need to choose yourself first.

98

:

I am the biggest advocate out

there for the choose yourself

99

:

journey, and you need to go on it.

100

:

If you want to change your life and

step into your power and be confident

101

:

and comfortable with who you are.

102

:

You need to choose yourself first.

103

:

Then you need to embrace

what life throws at you.

104

:

So all those question marks, when things

that you don't understand are happening

105

:

to you, like why they are: embrace them.

106

:

They are happening for a reason.

107

:

So lean into it and learn from it.

108

:

See it as an opportunity for growth.

109

:

One of my favorites is

turning your pain into power.

110

:

Now, I don't mean to toot my own

horn or anything, but I am the

111

:

queen of turning my pain into power.

112

:

That basically means turning a

shitty situation or something

113

:

really horrible happening and

making it into a source of strength.

114

:

Find what is holding you back that

you no longer have control of and

115

:

make it into a source of strength.

116

:

And then my last one is you

need to surround yourself

117

:

with a supportive community.

118

:

So whether it's your friends, your family,

or joining our beautiful radiant icon

119

:

community, you need to be able to lean

on others for support, to hype you up

120

:

when you're not able to hype yourself up.

121

:

And that is our tea time session

for today, Radiant Icons.

122

:

I am so excited to have you guys here for

this new chapter of Dare to be Iconic.

123

:

Make sure to leave a review.

124

:

And follow me on Instagram, at

125

:

@amandapayo1219.

126

:

And stay tuned for our next episode,

which is a favorite of mine.

127

:

I'm teaching you how to break up with your

past and fall in love with your future.

128

:

That's right, we're turning

pain into power, which is a

129

:

subject that I am an icon on.

130

:

So Remember icons, dare to be iconic.

131

:

I'll see you next time.

132

:

Bye!
