To get the inside scoop on all things Unbound, Kathryn and Kristi welcome Janel Spilker. Janel is a professional road cyclist turned gravel cyclist and will be commentating on this year's race.

The trio discusses the course itself, as well as how Life Time plans to get video coverage of this remote race. Janel shares how she, as the broadcaster, will personally talk for the length of this coverage - here's a hint: it involves zero pee breaks. Finally, Kathryn and Janel share whom they think will be on the podium this year, while Kristi shares who she WANTS to be on the podium.

Smoothie recipe - serves one person

  • juice half lemon
  • 1T or more of (nut) milk (I'm on macadamia kick - oat is great too)
  • good ol dollop of (vegan) plain yogurt
  • big dash of salt, 
  • bigger amount of cinnamon
  • and even more ground flax seed
  • 1" or more ginger root (peeled)
  • 1" or more tumeric root (washed, trimmed)
  • half avocado
  • handful almonds
  • crap ton of greens
  • frozen blueberries
  • frozen cherries

Blend! And top with…

  • chia
  • hemp
  • granola
