Joseph Alexander is a nurse and park ranger in Minnesota. He's always been interested in health, and has always loved the outdoors.
Knowing just those facts about Joseph, if you were to close your eyes and picture him in your imagination, you probably wouldn't see him as a 438-pound diabetic who had started – and given up on – just about every diet and weight loss strategy known to man.
I met Joseph online through the super-secret Missing Chins Run Club (oops ;), and in person at the 2018 Plantstock event, where he wowed the crowd with a moving presentation of his struggle and transformation.
Joseph now runs marathons, coaches people to reverse disease and drop weight through a whole food, plant-based diet, and generally loves life.
We go deep in this conversation, as Joseph shares his darkest moments, his most profound realizations, and his hands-on tactical, strategic, and philosophical approach to lifestyle change.
The audio quality is dodgy for the first 10 minutes, but improves considerably once I figure out gain levels and Joseph tames his rustling microphone 🙂
Enjoy, add your voice to the conversation via the comment box or audio recording box below, and please share – that's how we spread our message and spread our roots.
