Turning Red is the latest motion picture by Pixar and its starting a conversation on Asian representation in media. Telling the story of a 13-year-old Chinese-Canadian girl who transforms into a red panda when excited. The film is being called niche by many in the film community, and Brayan Mendoza disagrees with that. He offers up his perspective on the film's quality, and its relatability to young Asian girls.
