Summary: Even knowing the Lord, and the Holy Spirit; there is a cry in our hearts to know them even more We too often settle for a thimble full, when asking for an avalanche. Show Notes: • In all of our combined years, there is one thing we know, and that is what we do not know. • We are crying out for the complete fulfillment of Joel 2 • Lord, we believe, help our unbelief • His kingdom is the bottom line References: Colossians 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Joel 2:28  And it will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions John 14:26  But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you Mark 16:17, 18  And these signs will accompany those having believed: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm then; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well.” Mark 9:24  Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” 1Kings 18:44  The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘hitch up your chariot and do down before the rain stops you.” Mark 1:12  Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness. Galatians 5:22, 23  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 2 Kings 2:14  He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. “Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over. Quotes: • We are not going to be satisfied with just a taste • We need the Holy Spirit; • We loose the desire to know and to have it. • Christ was not led, He was driven • Appropriate the answer • He is so much more real than the air we breathe Take Away: A hunger cry for the Lord is one that cannot be satisfied, it is an indescribable ache that will not accept a token taste.

Transcripts

Ron:

I am Ron your host and on this podcast, the family opens their hearts to the cry of the Holy Spirit. Where is the God of Elijah? Where is the God of miracles? Where is Jehovah, the right now God? Join us in our cry to our Father for a greater appropriation of His presence in this earth.

Deborah:

The mystery of Christ in you, the hope of glory. That is what the Holy Spirit was to do, reveal the mysteries of Christ. So, we ask your Holy Spirit to reveal the mysteries of Christ to us, show us, lead us, direct us.

Ron:

There is a need here. We need the Holy Spirit, we need the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. I just cry out for it, Lord. I cry out for it, I want the Holy Spirit. The outpouring, the descending of the Holy Spirit.

Deborah:

We loose the hunger for it. We loose the desire to know and to have it.

Ron:

God impart to us a hunger for the Holy Spirit. Lord, I want it. “I believe help thou my unbelief.” I don’t really want to have all the right answers about it. I don’t care about the right answers. I care about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It will be evident.

Deborah:

It’s time for reaching in.

Ron:

Christ was not led, He was driven. Driven. He didn’t wake up and go, oh Father lead me today, what are you speaking? He was driven by the Holy Spirit. He was literally driven, it was no question.

Deborah:

I have experienced tastes of that. That I have to do something. I have to do it and I get up and go do it. Because I feel compelled to do it. Driven to do it. But it’s few and far between. That should be the way we are moving all the time.

Dale:

One of the things that we can do, appropriate the answer. And then let that appropriation have an expression. You’re speaking about Him being driven. Where did He get that? He got it from His Father it was from Spirit to Spirit.

Where is the fruits of the Spirit? That’s what I am asking. That’s what I am looking for I want to know, I want to walk in those.

Ron:

It doesn’t matter how many hours a day I wait on the Lord. How many hours a day I pray. How many hours a day I be in the Word. It still needs to work. For me, it is not good enough that is works in the Spirit where I can’t see it. I live here on this terra firma and this part of my body God made too. He made all three realms, my soul, my body, and my spirit. I am beside myself because we have talked about this for forty years. It is kind of like God going well how long will you put up with this. How long are you going to put up with not seeing my Word manifested in the earth. Just imagine for a second the outpouring of the Holy Spirit happens and it doesn’t stop happening.

But I do want it just to be a talk I want that somehow, we can touch Him. Where He hears our heart cry. He hears it and takes notice. I need an overflow of the Holy Spirit.

My focus is Him and crying out to Him going I need more of you. I need the Holy Spirit because how the heck am I going to be a channel to bring forth Your kingdom which I understand is the bottom line. That is what you put me here for. To bring forth your kingdom in the earth, I can’t do that with what little I have. I just can’t, I can’t follow the pattern of Christ. I can’t. Christ couldn’t follow it. He had to have the fullness of the Holy Spirit, I am no better than Him. Just like the disciples, they were bumbling idiots, they were just like us until they had the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost, something happened to those guys, dramatic. Because they changed. You know and excuse me if this is offensive but it is not about me. We’re not going to get ripped off. We are not going to be just like the guys in Hebrews. They had faith, but they never got the promise. They didn’t get the promise guys.

Ron:

Aren’t we His reward?
