We're kicking off our candidate interviews with our incumbent ward Councillor, Josephine Bartley.

Before getting into politics, Josephine was a lawyer. She was elected to the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board and re-elected in 2013, and again in 2016.

Upon her election as councillor, Josephine became the first Pasifika woman elected to Auckland Council.
