and left someone else out.

Sophie received the message in the afternoon.

A casual plan for that evening.

A small group.

People she knew.

She read through the names.

Noticed one missing.

Her friend.

They were usually invited together.

Not formally.

Just how things had settled.

Shared plans.

Shared spaces.
