Matthew 24

(Christ Return)

Colossians 1:24-29

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church; 25 whereof I was made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which was given me to you-ward, to fulfill the word of God, 26 even the mystery which hath been hid for ages and generations: but now hath it been manifested to his saints, 27to whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ; 29 whereunto I labor also, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Matthew 18:20

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Revelations 22:7-8 “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.” 8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!” I Samuel 3 (The Lord calls Samuel) Revelations 19:13 And He is arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and His name is called The Word of God. John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 2 Corinthians 3:1-3 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you? 2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. Galatians 4:19 My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you 2 Peter 1:16 For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. Acts 1 (Christ talking to His disciples about the Kingdom)

Take Away:

Today Christ is speaking again in and through His people because of the impartation of the Word of God. As Christ appears within them, they become witnesses of His return. Once again, Christ is manifesting Himself in living epistles, the Word made flesh in the earth.

The appearing of the Lord is happening, we just have to have eyes to see, and ears to hear.

Dale

Because it's the Parousia, He's going to appear again tomorrow. As He comes closer, more and more of Him, is revealed to us.

Ken

When you see Him, when you see Him, you'll be like Him. What kind of seeing do we have to see in order to be exactly who He is? I think the seeing is seeing in the Spirit, Christ in our brother, appearing and speaking His Word.

Dale

Christ in you is the hope of glory. Where is He is appearing, He's appearing in the Body. He's unlocking what He put in you, as He appears. Where two or more gathered in My name. There I am. Also.

Ron

There's an example of that. I think it's in the book of Revelations. I think it's when John was standing before this guy, and this guy speaking to him and he falls down and worships Him. When you talk about seeing, it's perceiving the Word of God in a person. As that person speaks, you perceive Christ speaking through that person that's happening. Well, that's happening right now. It just says, totally transformed our thinking, as far as Christ appearing. You are not looking for something off in the future. You're looking every day. This thing about the parousia. This thing about seeing Christ every day, the point of that is we're being transformed. The point of that is Christ nature is coming forth within us.

Roger

How is Jesus Christ appearing? He's appearing by the Word, He is the Word. If you remember about Samuel, you go back and read those first chapters of Samuel. It says “and the Lord appeared to him again at Shiloh, and He appeared by the Word of the Lord,” it was the Word. To me, that's the only recognition I can see. When I hear Christ, His Word comes out, and that's Him. And it makes you love, whoever that that Christ is speaking through at that moment, you can't separate them. But it's always the Word, the Word, that's how He's manifesting Himself. That's how He's returning is the Word. And He has a name written in His name is the Word of God. And that's how He's appearing in us. And when we speak, He's expressed, and you perceive Him. I'm not going to recognize Christ by the shape of your body, because you do a bunch of good acts. People do that everywhere. And like what you were saying, Ron, that cannot be mimicked, you know, what's that scripture, His sheep hear His voice, and another they will not follow. And we've learned who Christ the Word is. And when He spoke, and we recognize Him.

Ron

You can quote, scriptures. You can, quote, spiritual principles. But it doesn't change the level that you're living on with Christ. You only change by when you see Him. You only change - every day we're changing, sometimes perceptible, sometimes maybe not so much perceptive. But we're still changing because of the impartation and the revealing of the Word of God within us.

Roger

The word being made flesh. This has been a lifetime of the Word being formed in us. You know how Paul told the Galatians he says, I'm in travail again to Christ be formed in you, because they had gone off in some legalistic trip. This realm of Christ in the flesh is a lifetime of the Word has been worked into us and been imparted that makes the Word flesh. That we are learning, how to walk and to be Christ in the earth. Christ in this earth, the Word made flesh. Where is this going from here?

Ron

You've become witnesses of Christ. And now you're going to be that witness in the earth, wherever you go.

Roger

This revelation of being His witnesses. You remember, Peter, Peter was making a point. He says, and we were with Him, we were eye witnesses on the mountain, when we beheld His glory. They were witnesses, witness meant something they had be held of Christ, that was indelibly on their hearts, and could not be taken away.

Ron

And you know what? He said, Roger, he goes, you do well, to listen to me until that same day star arises.

Dale:

What do we do now? I am a witness. I was there, I saw Him. And what He has established now is a people who can say the same thing as that the disciples said, we are and we are becoming in the Spirit, I witnessed.

Roger

Everything has shifted to the realm of our spirits. We're seeing by revelation of Christ in our spirits. And it must be as real to us is it was to those early Christians who walk and walk talk with him in the flesh. That gives a whole new meaning when Jesus told the disciples there in Acts one, He says, Look, I'm not going to answer these questions about when I'm setting up a kingdom. He said, But you hang around here in Jerusalem, until you've received the promise of the Father, and then you will be My witnesses. throughout all the earth. It is an expression of what we have beheld, and seen and know in our hearts. This revelation of Christ, the Word in us, it does so has to burn in our hearts, that Jesus Christ, the Word has appeared in us. You see, and that becomes the witness that we carry into the earth, that Jesus Christ has arisen. He's arisen in a people. He has come forth in a people He's returned.
