A woman saw a fight break out in a park and turned to the closest source of help: a five-foot-tall police robot with an emergency button. She pushed it, asked for help, and the robot essentially told her to move aside before continuing along its programmed route.

It’s funny until you realize how often we do the same thing. We can get so committed to our schedules, routines, and plans that anything unexpected feels like an interruption. But what if some of those interruptions are actually invitations from God to notice something, help someone, or change direction? How often are we so focused on staying on course that we miss what’s happening right in front of us?

Scripture (NIV): Proverbs 16:9 – “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

Where might you be holding too tightly to your plan right now?

Could an interruption you normally avoid actually be something God is asking you to notice?
