Shownotes

Keith Kessinger came onto our radar when he released a music video for a cover of Van Halen’s Hot For Teacher song. In the video and song he played Waldo 20 years removed from Van Halen’s Hot For Teacher video. Not only was Keith a striking image of Waldo, he showed some humour, and some amazing chops behind every instrument on the song. He discusses the video, being mistaken for the original actor from Van Halen’s video on DISCovery With Eric Senich. https://www.stitcher.com/show/discovery/episode/episode-84-the-hot-for-teacher-waldo-myth-revealed-77490300 (2:41) Working off of Eric’s episode with Keith, we touch on Keith introductions to guitar and his friend John Hawkins introducing him to Van Halen’s Eruption, (5:36) We talk his love for Charles Schultz and Prince, and what a monster Nuno Bettencourt is behind the drum kit.
