Shownotes
Dan Smith joins me in the first episode of my newly released podcast and shares some incredible stories that shape the arc of his success in Japan. An avid reader from childhood, Dan pursues journalism as a career while he serves 21 years in the US Air Force. Dan chooses to continue working in the civilian sector for the local newspapers, beating out competitions and becoming the best in the field. Once Dan switches to TV production, his achievements at AP, BET, and filming Michael Jackson in Japan give him notoriety and the confidence boost he needed to start his own inspirational media creations documenting the successes of foreigners in Japan. His exceptional US military docu-series “Defending Japan” won Best Documentary at the Japan Cuts Film Festival in Hollywood. I am so proud to know this talented director/producer - what a blessing to witness and celebrate the milestones of his legacy firsthand!
