Shownotes
Well, hey there, Scorekeepers! It's time for another episode of your favorite podcast, THE SCORE! Lee can't be with us today, so we decided to try something a little different. With all the miserable, awful things going on in the world, we decided we desperately need to take a little time to shine a spotlight on some of the good things happening around us. And there are some, we promise! And I mean if we can't take a few minutes to focus on some joy, what are we doing all this fighting for, nah mean? So join us for an episode-long segment of Pure Black Joy, where we take a little time to talk about all the Black people, places, ideas, and art that are currently bringing us joy. This week, we talk a little about some magically delicious things that have happened to us personally over the last few weeks before we dive into some opera and classical music news, featuring a post-mortem of MN Opera's thoroughly Black production of Carmen, friend of the pod Nia Imani Franklin, and 9-year-old opera phenom Victory Brinker! Let's do it to it, y'all!
