Natasha Pierre is a Christian leader, author, and women’s empowerment advocate devoted to helping women rediscover their identity, strength, and purpose through Christ. As the founder of Queens, a Christ-centered movement built on the pillars of Empower, Encourage, and Educate, Natasha creates transformational experiences that guide women through healing, growth, and purposeful living.

She expanded the experience through The Crown Room, a digital companion space where women continue to fix their crowns one week at a time as they move through the devotional’s eight-week journey. Through guided reflection, spiritual encouragement, and sisterhood, the Crown Room helps women apply the message of each week to their everyday lives.

She is also the creator of the As I Fix My Crown Masterclass, an intentional teaching experience that helps women go deeper in confronting limiting beliefs, reclaiming their voice, and walking forward with renewed clarity and courage.

What part of the world are you in today?

Frederick, Maryland.

Natasha, how did you come to meet Jesus?

He was part of my household.

I grew up in a Christian household with my grandparents.

With that was my uncles.

So I had a very personal relationship.

I clearly remember it happening on UWE campus.

One day, as like God, I feel so dark and lonely.

If you would just rescue me, just send someone to rescue me.

I remember being right in front of the UWE bookstore and God sent someone from a youth camp I had gone to years ago.

Just to talk with me and pray with me.

I think that was the pivotal moment of me coming to my own relationship, not walking in my parents' relationship with God or what I had seen passed on family tradition, but me creating my own relationship with God.

So that would have been like in my early 20s.

No, I'm going to call my age like 19.

So just for those listening, before we hit the record button, we identified that you are from Trinidad.

You talked about the UWE campus as well, which is the University of West Indies here in Trinidad.

Again, I'm honored to have the opportunity to talk to someone from the diaspora, like from the Caribbean and being in the U.S. now.

How important was your finances?

I'm asking this because I saw empower, encourage, and educate.

I ran into that with a guy called Dave Ramsey, something similar.

How important?

That's why I'm asking that question.

What's the financial side of your journey?

So there's so many things I want to say on that.

Just one question.

I didn't even know that Dave Ramsey has the empower, encourage, educate, even though I did the Dave Ramsey program.

And we did the Dave Ramsey program when we relocated from New York to Maryland in our quest to purchase a house.

And that brought discipline into our lives.

Now, how important is the finance?

Finance, living in Trinidad and living in America, two different kettles of fish.

You at home and you have your parents and your family and your neighbor to support you when times are hard.

You don't have something in mind.

I didn't have credit score.

You go to the bank, you know, you buy.

Pretty much we lived only with what you had.

You didn't go outside of your expenses.

When I started to travel to the United States, at some point in time, I decided to use my credit card.

And my credit card became both a friend and an enemy.

And so finances, when I talk about empower, encourage, and educate, that is one thing I wanted to bring to the forefront of women.

Because we work so hard and yet still, I'm in so many prayer groups where women are saying, I'm struggling.

Pray for me for financial breakthrough.

And like, why haven't we gotten a handle on walking in this thing God says where we should be lenders and not beggars?

And for me, as a Christian, I really believe we ought to walk in wealth.

But, you know, there are some churches that switch it, you know, lovers of, you know, lovers of money, and you can be lovers of Christ.

But God has given us the authority to walk in that.

And I do believe it's the understanding of the word and understanding that we do not make money our God.

And so finances are important.

And coincidentally, I'm also a teacher at a high school teaching financial algebra.

So I bring the real to high schoolers when it comes to finances, I bring my life experiences to them.

And hopefully I would have changed a few lives along the way in terms of understanding needs, wants and savings.

That's amazing.

And again, for those listening, there's nothing that prepped me for that question other than my life and how God sets things up.

Yeah.

Jesus believer allows you to connect in ways that far surpasses a biography or reading a blog.

It's just amazing how God does that.

Well, I'm thankful that you're doing that.

And I'm thankful that you had an experience that you're able to speak from.

Take us back to you accepting Christ, now getting into your own walk by the library there.

What happened next?

I'll take you back one step before that.

So yeah, yeah, you and I remember they used to have the bus taking us to some place I think was up in the hill, the party.

And I distinctly remember sitting under the stage and my friends knew I had no place there.

And my maid name was Green and they're like, Green, you just need to stay here because the way you're looking at people, you will get us into trouble.

I didn't want anybody touching me.

I don't know what I was doing in the party.

But I kept saying, God, if you came tonight, I would not be ready.

And it made, I was like the party pooper, right, down the party.

And so they, they, my friends decided that I was never allowed to go partying with them again.

You stay home and make coffee for when we come back.

But the change in, at that moment, God, if you're real, allowed me to, on campus, sometimes it becomes lonely.

You, you're now adulting, you know, becoming into an adult and you have to make all these decisions with regards to work and your career, your savings, your partner.

And I realized when the, that person came to pray with me, I didn't have to do the journey alone.

I didn't have to walk in, in, you know, Natasha trying to figure it out.

And it was over time, my growth, I read a lot of books.

My dad believed in giving.

So I read a lot of books about giving and a lot of books about coming into my own and understanding who I was in Christ Jesus, not knowing it was basically water, watering the ground and the seeds for what I would be doing now.

And it brought me, I started to dream big.

I started writing what I wanted to accomplish.

I wanted to travel the world and have my job pay for it.

I got that.

I traveled to 13 countries, my job paid for it.

So in those moments, I learned how to trust God for big things.

And then, you know, you become an adult, you get married, you get kids.

And somehow I felt like there was a shift in believing God for big things.

You just started to live in the mundane.

And again, it's, it's kind of what you read, what you put into your soul and even the words that you hear.

And at one point in time, we had to change churches because I wanted a different type of food.

You know, I say it was like eating ground provision and then I wanted fried rice and macaroni pie and, and street chicken.

And so I changed church to get a different type of spiritual food and that reignite the things that, hey, I could not only dream for my children, but I can also dream about my ministry, dream about my marriage, dream about living a financially free life, have those dreams again, and trust God to do the impossible.

Is reading the contribution that created the confidence to write your own book?

No, there are a few contributing things.

So reading, reading helped, but I have been in multiple prayer groups.

And I think that helped me because I, I, at one point in time while writing the book, Imposter Syndrome sat in, I'm like, what do I, what can I say to people?

What am I bringing to the table?

But I was bringing years of intercessory prayers, seeing it from different people's point of view, different ages, diverse persons from different ethnic backgrounds.

And when I prayed, I prayed with the word, aligning the prayer request with the word.

And so, yes, reading was important, but writing the book came out of being displaced from a job that I thought I was all of that and a bag of chips I had arrived.

I mean, two more clicks and I would have been C, C suite.

And then one Thursday I was see your way out.

Message in the bottle, Natasha, five years from today, you're listening to this conversation.

Yeah.

What is a message you'd leave for future Natasha here?

Remain obedient.

It's, it's a simple word, but it's a, it's a big word.

Remain obedient because it was with obedience and faith.

You will do things and see God do bigger than you can even imagine the thing that your grandmother told you that the world is your playground.

God has not forgotten that word she has given to you and you would see yourself playing in God's playground, doing what he has called you to do, which is the minister and to intercede for.

It's been an honor to have a conversation with you in closing.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I would like to encourage others when the dream is ugly, scary, big, and audacious.

That's the one you have to go for.

Don't go for the small dreams.

Your God is a big, big God.

He's not looking to bless you with a $5 and a $10 here and there.

He's looking to do something that will cause you to clinch your pearls, clutch your pearls.

Allow God to do that for you.

But for him to do that, you really need to have a relationship with him and believe that he will do what he said.
