What you are about to learn

One of the essential parts of learning of this life is which voices to listen to and understand that the more we listened to the selfish voice or the devil voice, and we do the selfish things, or we don't do the things that we should do, the more regret we have, the more cleanup we have, and the more mess we leave around us. And those things are just facts. And the intent is for us to develop character, capability, and love.  God is there all the time, that there is divine purpose, and that the more I tell the negative voice to get lost, the more I give in or allow the cheerful voice to rule. The happier I am, the better I do. But,  there is a real choice. And that's another one of those things about this framework. God seems to allow us to have a natural choice. So if we choose to do something awful and hurt someone, it is permitted and actually hurt, and damage even occurs.  

What happens when we fail? No matter how many times I commit, I still fall on my face, and I always sometimes find myself drawn into selfishness or self-pity. What I discovered is that listening to the negative voice, doing something I shouldn't, or not doing something I should, led to more negativity, self-loathing and lousy behavior, self-sabotage. So what I learned is this carry a big blanket of forgiveness. You're human. You're going to make mistakes. Maybe there'll be selfish mistakes. Possibly there'll be completely unwitting, accidental mistakes. I know for sure that carrying a hate grudge for yourself, which I used to do a lot or someone else which I've also done, never has led me to the right place.  Forgive yourself, forgive them, and move forward with a recommitment to listen to the good voice.
