Shownotes
Someone asks you a hard question on a discovery call, and that little voice shows up: "Maybe I don't know enough." If you've ever felt that, you're in very good company.
In this episode, Candy makes the case that confidence doesn't come first. Authority does. Not the kind you announce on your website, but the kind you earn one real conversation at a time. She shares her own struggle with second-guessing her ideas, and tells the story of Lindsey, an anesthesiologist who coaches female physicians, who stopped chasing confidence and started collecting evidence instead.
Candy also shares a hard number from her own research: nearly seventy percent of coaches she surveyed had five or fewer clients, many of them highly experienced. The coaches with consistent clients weren't the loudest. They were the most connected.
If you've ever thought "I just need more confidence," this episode offers a different answer: maybe you need evidence instead.
