If you feel inconsistent on Instagram or TikTok and don’t know why, this episode will shift everything.

It's not about motivation, it's not about discipline, it's a system issue.

When creating content from scratch every day, it's a struggle to be motivated and excited about your post.

In Episode 92 of the ICONIK CEO Podcast, we finish the RISE Framework with E: Elevate Through Systems and break down a simple, repeatable Instagram or TikTok content system designed specifically for service-based solopreneurs.

If you are constantly:

  1. Starting from scratch every time you post
  2. Asking yourself what to say
  3. Feeling exhausted before you even record your content
  4. Struggling to stay visible consistently

This episode gives you a clear workflow you can use immediately.

Here's what you'll learn:

  1. Why inconsistency is a systems problem, not a mindset problem.
  2. How to record one 3-minute video and turn it into multiple pieces of content.
  3. How to use Instagram’s built-in tools to simplify editing.
  4. How to remove friction so consistency becomes automatic.

Announcer:

Welcome with your host and business guru, Nakisha King. This podcast is the ultimate destination for women creative entrepreneurs who want to break free from burnout.

If you are overwhelmed by client demands and feel like you're doing this all alone, you, my friend, are in the right place. Now, let's dive in for steps to take back your time and simplify your workflow.

Nikisha King:

All right, Nikisha, take it away. Welcome back to the iconic CEO podcast, where we teach women solopreneurs how to build empires.

Today, we're finishing this part of the Rise framework with the E Elevate through systems. And I want to start with a truth that might sting just a little bit.

If you are constantly starting from scratch, and every time you have to create content, you are always going to be inconsistent, my dear. Ouch. I know that one hurt just a little bit.

I know you're not lazy, and I definitely know it's not because you're unmotivated, but it's because your brain is exhausted from all the 24 hats you're wearing. Consistency has nothing to do with mindset. It's a systems problem. Did you hear me? A A systems problem. So let's fix that right now.

Every time you have to ask yourself, what should I post today? What should I say? How do I turn this into content?

You are spending so much energy on making decisions instead of executing, and when everything lives in your head, consistency becomes optional. Optional things are the first to go when life gets busy. Sounds familiar. That's why willpower doesn't work here.

So we're going to put that to the side. And motivation doesn't last. Systems will always remove friction. Let me repeat that for the person all the way in the back. I see you.

Systems will always remove friction. And that's what the iconic CEO podcast and my world is all about. A system is a simply repeatable way of doing something. It's not complicated.

We surely is not fancy. It's a plan you don't have to rethink every time. It's something you can open and look at and follow. It's something one of your team members can do.

So today, I want to walk you through a very real, very simple content system you can use on Instagram. That's where I love to be. That's where my creatives are. So some people have different social media apps that works for you, but Instagram is my jam.

So here's exactly what you're going to do. Step one. Also, Instagram's like TikTok, so kind of interchange it. All right?

Step one, you pull out your phone and you're going to record a video that's about three minutes. Open your Instagram app, you're going to do a reel. Put your filter on. I have a cool one that I love.

And you're going to talk about one idea, one story, one teaching. And what we're going to do is we might record it for two or three minutes. I'm going to share something with you.

So in that conversation, it's just clear, free, no editing, no teaching, no pressure. Keep it simple. If you want any prompts, go to episode 90. I think 91. I got some prompts in the show notes for you.

Step two, after you record your reel, on the bottom it says open in Instagram Edits. Open it in Edits.

When you get in edits, what we're going to do is trim this video down once you one minute each, because we're going to turn this into stories two or three. If you do three minutes, you got three stories. If you do two minutes, you got two. If you do it in between, you'll figure it out.

So now what you're going to do is scroll up to the 1 minute mark and then you're going to hit split. To split that, you're going to delete everything behind the first minute.

You're going to add your captions, of course, style it up and edit if needed. Now, if you want to, you can add background audio, subtle in the back, but I usually don't do all of that.

I keep it really simple because I just want to get it done and I want you to get it done. Then what you're going to do after it's done, you're going to export that clip and save it to your phone. So you're going to have an option.

Save it to Instagram, Facebook. Don't do any of those. Save it to the phone. Put it in your phone. So download completed. Great. Go back into the video. Now, here's a tricky part.

You are going to click the undone button till you get all the way back to where you split the reel. Yes. That's what I do. So I go back, I keep deleting. Go back, back, back, it says. It tells me the last part that I deleted after I split it.

So I stop right there and I keep the second part of the reel, the second minute, and I delete the first minute. And once again, I go through it, split it at the. The what? 2.59 minutes, whatever it's before it starts to three. And then I do it all over again.

Add my captions, if you have background music, whatever it is, and that's it. So I do that for the three reels, three minutes. Now, once I do that, I download all them to my phone so they're in my photo and that's it.

Also, I didn't tell you this tip, so make a note of this. I know it's like backwards.

When you're recording your reel on Instagram, after you're done recording, it's a next button, click it and then download the complete reel. So you'll have the original always in your photos on your phone. So if you need it for the edits, you can just upload it again. That's what I do.

That's like my backup. So once you're done, you have all three of these videos on your phone. Now here's the best part.

You open up the photos where you have all three and you go post them.

The first one, the second one, the third one in your stories, and they seamlessly go through without feeling like you had to stop and go, stop and go, stop and go. I love this system. And here's the best thing.

If you want to see exactly how I do this, I will share a link in the show note for a video that walks you through it step by step by step. You'll be able to grab that link, watch it in real time.

Now for the best part of today's episode, I'm going to share something with you because I know you got so much value from this episode and I'm so freaking excited. You have no idea how many people I speak to about becoming visible on Instagram and how much it's a pain point.

And for all my amazing solopreneurs out there, men and women, I am inviting you to something cost effective. You get to do it month to month. It's a membership. I don't even have any hesitation. I just want to have fun with you. And I'm building it out. Yes.

And trust me, I get in my head a lot too. But you are important to me. So I'm building an Invisible to visible course.

I don't know if it's a course, it's not a course because I don't want to do courses. It's like a blueprint. It's this beautiful mechanism of how to get really good at being visible.

And this subscription based space is where I'm going to teach you a solopreneur who has a service company. So my creators, my makeup and fashion influencers, my wedding and Event professionals, my brand stylist, social media manager, and so much more.

I want you to become visible on Instagram in a way that feels grounded, simple and sustainable. Now, I know what you're thinking, Nikisha. Do you only do Instagram now if you're young and you're trying to get your feet wet out there. Here.

Here's what I'm going to tell you to do. Look at the video, sign up for a month and you can apply to TikTok because TikTok has cap cut. It's the same concept. Not hard.

However, you do have your TikTok and cap cut people out there. But if you love how I show you and teach you, that's something you're going to be open to as well. And you never know.

I could bring someone in to do the TikTok version of this, but that's later down the road. Or if you know someone, definitely email me. Podcast Akisha King. Com.

So first and foremost, this app is going to be great because now you can just do everything on your app while you're driving. Listen to it, no overwhelm practice, look at it while you do it. Or you can open it on desktop and then do the how to on your phone.

I just want to be able to give you clear guidance. And the best part about this app, I'm going to be updating it regularly. So as your skills grows, as you ask more questions.

Yes, we'll have what, monthly, maybe bi weekly coaching sessions. I'm going to be taking what you're telling me and create content and add it into your subscription.

Isn't that what we all want continuing Ed so we can keep growing? That's what I'm here about. So this is the best part. As a content involve, you involve. We share more, we create more together.

Your visibility will never become stagnant because you're going to have so much fun showing up in a way that feels like you. And I'm so excited I can bring this to you. So as I want to keep going, I want to be able to see you show up in the best way possible.

Remember, confidence gets you moving. Systems keep you going. When you combine the two, visibility stops feeling like chaos and it starts feeling so delicious and intentional.

You, my love, don't need more, you need to do less and you need to do it better. And that's exactly what we do here. So.
