Hey, my friend, have you ever wondered what Jesus had to say about spiritual warfare?
Because you're tired of theories and you want to know the exact words, laws and boundaries the Savior himself established to protect you and your family. Well, my friend, you are not alone in this.
Because when chaos hits your living room, you can find the exact blueprint Jesus uses as the captain of your soul and as you. Stay tuned.
By the end of today's episode, you'll know the primary weapon Jesus exposed, the exact wording he used to bind the strong man attempting to steal yours or your child's mind, and why he shared a short parable that warns us never to leave our homes spiritually vacant. Stay tuned. Ordinary women, extraordinary faith. When God calls, we say yes. Hello and welcome to another episode of the Arise Women of God podcast.
I'm your host, Tamara K. Andersen, and I'm so excited to be with you today as we dive into the Bible to find out how exactly Jesus defined, managed and defeated spiritual darkness. To do this, we're breaking down three critical pillars taught us in the New Testament.
First, the threat profile and the deception blueprint, where we're going to unpack how Jesus exposed the enemy's hidden operational goals of stealing your peace and shaming your identity. Second, we'll look at the strongmen law and the power of an audible eviction.
Here we'll share the precise legal mechanics Jesus modeled to bind household intruders and cast out negative, looping, intrusive thoughts. So by speaking scripture. Third, we will share the sifting shield and the vacant house trap.
We will talk about learning how to pray Christ centered intercessory prayers over your children so that their faith doesn't shatter when they are violently shaken by the world. All right, let's begin by defining the enemy's core strategy.
If you want to stop a spot spiritual fire in your home, you have to know exactly how the arsonist operates.
In John 8:44, Jesus pulled back the curtain and exposed the baseline goals of the adversary, declaring he was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there was no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it. Jesus defines the enemy's primary weapon as deception or lies.
Spiritual warfare is not a battle of physical muscle. It is a battle of beliefs and what you are thinking in your mind.
It is a calculated assault of lies targeted directly at you or your children's identity, your worth, your value. Because the enemy's weapon is a lie. His Target is always to destroy your strength and stability.
nemy's threat profile in John:Steal, kill, and destroy. The adversary is actively trying to steal your peace from your home.
Kill the fragile faith inside your teenager's heart and completely destroy you, your family, and your home sanctuary. But Jesus didn't just leave us with a warning. He gave us a powerful, binding legal law to stop that theft.
In Matthew, chapter 12, verse 29, Jesus speaks the rules of engagement. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house.
Think about that. Your children's minds, their emotions, and the harmony of your marriage are precious household goods that God has placed under your management.
And his goal is to bind you as the guardian of the home so that he can enter and ruin those goods with anxiety, addiction, or rage. But the good news is, Jesus teaches us that we have the legal right to cast out the adversary. You don't have to fix the behavior. First.
You get on your knees and you bind that strong man of chaos, attempting to occupy the room, commanding him to depart. In the name of Jesus Christ. And because we do it in his name, through faith in him, the adversary will depart.
Once you understand the law of the binding, you have to know how to deliver the command on the battlefield. When Jesus was attacked by the devil in the wilderness, he didn't quietly just overthink it. He.
He opened his mouth and commanded an audible eviction notice.
In Matthew 4:10, he said, Then saith Jesus unto him, get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Jesus modeled the exact tactical response for us when we are flooded with dark or shaming thoughts, or when your kids are escalating into uncharacteristic anger. I invite you to open your mouth and speak. Get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, the Lord is my fortress.
The adversary cannot read your thoughts, but he is legally required to obey your spoken command. In the name of Jesus Christ.
Now, what happens when you're dealing with a crisis that feels incredibly stubborn, and you have prayed and prayed over it, and it just doesn't seem to be enough?
Jesus taught us that certain frontline battles require an upscale, which he teaches us in Matthew, chapter 17, verse 21, after his disciples failed to cast out a destructive spirit from a young boy, Jesus revealed the secret howbeit this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting. He teaches us that we cannot fight heavyweight strongholds with lightweight routines.
When the giant in your home refuses to budge up the ante, combine specific targeted prayer warfare and maybe inviting a congregation or close knit group of family and friends to pray and fast for you and your problems. You may need that additional strength to break the adversary's hold.
All right, let's wrap it up by talking about perhaps the most intimate window we have into how Jesus manages spiritual warfare for those he loves, which is found right before the betrayal. In the upper room. The Savior looked directly at Simon Peter and said, in Luke chapter 22, verses 31 and 32.
And the Lord said, simon, Simon, behold, Satan has desired to have you that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not. And when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Sisters.
The enemy's deepest desire is to violently shake, confuse and sift your family until your confidence in God completely shatters. But look at how Jesus stopped the shifting, stopped the sifting. He didn't change Peter's circumstances, He changed his spiritual coverage.
But I have prayed for you that your faith fail not as a mother guardian. You can step directly into that intercessory role.
When your children walk out the door into a toxic world, you stand in the gap on your knees and with the power of your prayers, look at heaven and say, heavenly Father, the adversary desires to sift me and my children and my family as wheat today. But I am wrapping them with this shielding prayer. Protect their minds so that their faith fails not.
And when they win this battle, let them turn around and strengthen their peers, and you can close that in the name of Jesus Christ. Well, my friends, Jesus never told us that spiritual warfare wouldn't happen.
But he gave us every single key, scriptural sword and tactical law to ensure our ultimate victory.
But as you begin to cast out darkness from your home, you must remember a crucial warning Jesus gave in Matthew chapter 12, where he told the parable about an unclean spirit that is cast out of a person, but returns later to find the house swept decorated and completely empty. Because it's vacant, it brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself to move in, making the final state worse than the first.
It's not enough to simply yell at the dart, drop the bad behavior and execute a quick prayer eviction. If you leave your home atmosphere empty, the enemy will return with reinforcements.
You must aggressively fill and replace the void by bringing in light peace, filling your home with praise music, reading Scripture, and having holy family routines to help you systematically run an audit over your boundaries, I want to give you our Mother's Spiritual Defense Guide six Empowering Steps to Fortify Home and Family and you can grab this free at the link below. When you open your booklet, turn directly to step number four, Cast out and Calm Down.
We have formatted the exact layout of the Cast out the Adversary Prayer along with a checklist of light enhancers to ensure that your home never sits vacant. I'd love to conclude with one final verse and promise from the Savior. In John, chapter 14, verse 27, Jesus says, Peace, I leave with you my peace.
I give unto you not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Notice that this verse is a direct command from the King. Let not your heart be troubled.
Ground yourself in him, for he is indeed mighty to save. And until next time, may you feel God's peace and abide with him and arise. Do it God's way.
