In this week's episode Lauren discusses the Do’s and Don'ts of Open-Air Salon Communication. The way both your Team and your Clients communicate in an Open-Air Salon can leave a lasting impression on everyone in the Salon at the time - positive when you get it right, and negative when you don't.

Communication Rules for Team Members.

• Lauren shares a story of getting trapped in an incredibly uncomfortable Salon conversation.

• Establish Rules and Policies around appropriate Topics of Conversation in the workplace (08:00).

• Rules around getting involved in other people's conversations. Your main objective and/or your Team Member's main objective is to focus 100% on the Client that is on the bed in front of you (10:00).

• Rules around talking about other businesses, other Salons, and other people who aren't present at the time (aka b**ching) (12:00).

• Whispering is a No Go! (13:30).

•  Rules and Policies around Phones in the Salon (14:00).

Communication Rules for Clients.

• Phones in the Salon. (Client's shouldn't be on the phone in the Salon) (16:20).

• Children in the Salon (17:30).

• Guests of Clients in the Salon. (Clients really shouldn't be bringing people with them unless it's been discussed in advance) (18:45).
