Communication simplified!

Communication is based on a multitude of things. Then we mix them up between the people involved in the conversation and watch out! So how do we simplify the complexity of communication?

Key Points:

• Be an active listener, repeat what you hear said to you, ask for clarification.
• Be quiet, allow the other person to continue speaking, and they may tell you more than you expect by giving them the space to speak.
• Get out of your head!
• Be open if something is distracting you or pulling at your focus. 
• Be prepared! Have questions ready.  

Communication is more than the words spoken, but all the stuff in between. When we clean up our end of the conversation by being prepared, limiting distractions, and active listening, we provide the space for the other participants to be more engaged—leading, of course, to a better conversation!

Keep it simple; only do one or two of the suggestions in this episode to start. Find the ones that seem to be glaring problems you run into, and start there! Simple is the keyword here!
