Lesson 230: Steal Old Stuff

As a creator, it might seem scary that there's nothing really new. If you take any song, movie, you will find elements of something else that's existed before in the new creation. That might make you feel that you can't create anything new or unique but that's not true. When you are creating stuff, steal from super old influences. If you like something Person A did, find the inspiration for that thing and you'll find that years ago, that thing Person A did was done by someone else, well, find inspiration from that and if you want, you can even go way back. Remember, you have to put your own essence in the thing you do end up creating.
