In today’s episode, Jeff begins a series of shows exploring people who have created businesses based on their skills. In this show, Jeff interviews Vince Warnock.
Vince and Jeff discuss:
- Vince trained as an engineer and has a passion for technology and people.
- He was on the radio which was his dream job.
- As Vince was working, a dream job on paper, at an Insurance company he was able to take the company's YouTube channel from nothing to doubling their revenue in 5 years which didn’t go unnoticed.
- Despite Vince’s success he felt unfilled and didn't care for his job any more.
- December 2019, Vince gave notice of his resignation and in January 2020 sought out being a full-time author for entrepreneurs.
- His journey led to several open doors and was one of the reasons for his book being a best seller, which led to multiple books.
- The books led to a podcast which Vince really enjoys.
- He helps entrepreneurs become visible: start a podcast, get in the news, get on stages and help to craft a story to help you connect with your audience.
- At the beginning of the pandemic, Vince helped struggling entrepreneurs for free to stay afloat in their businesses and none of them went under.
- Vince is setting audacious goals in an attempt to have as much impact as he can in the world.
- Vince shares his process for becoming an author and talks about imposter syndrome.
- Being a good storyteller will take your reader on the same journey as you and create a safe space and connection.
- Remember as an entrepreneur (or corporate worker) you are still a human being.
- Vince is launching 4 different NFT series this year.
Fast Five Questions:
1) If you woke up and your business was gone, you have $500, a laptop, a place to live, and food, what would you do first? “First I would have a cup of coffee then tap into my network. Entrepreneurship is about relationships and if you have good relationships with people then you can build any business off the back of that.”

3) What is a book that you would recommend? Torn between (2), if you’re looking to market your business, “Made to stick'' by Chip and Dan Health and “Contagious” by Jonah Berger, which talks about what makes your message so resonate with people that they want to share it.
4) What is a tool that you use everyday that you would recommend? “Trello, I use it for my business and my personal life.”
5) What is the best way to contact you? “Just go to Chasingtheinsights.com, there you’ll find my podcast and my books then scroll down on the front page to see all of my social media links. Also on the website there are (2) links, the first one at the top is to a free strategy call and the other one is to become an author.”
