The discussion also touches on the importance of community and the fellowship that can strengthen our faith journeys. Takeaways:
And now for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
David Spoon:It's wild and wonderful.
David Spoon:What's gonna happen?
David Spoon:We have no idea.
David Spoon:Let's sit back and enjoy the ride.
David Spoon:Can I get a wowser bowser Wednesday?
David Spoon:Because God is in charge of this crazy bus called the Christian Journey.
David Spoon:First, today's message.
David Spoon:Oh my.
David Spoon:Today's lesson.
David Spoon:Oh my.
David Spoon:Is entitled the sun Will Come Out Tomorrow.
David Spoon:I know that sounds crazy, but actually this came about on a trip that I was on with Noel out of the country and at a conference.
David Spoon:One of the conference speakers told everybody it's all about to end.
David Spoon:It was about 15 years ago.
David Spoon:So I wrote a lesson called the Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow.
David Spoon:The key in understanding is that if there is a problem with our relationship with God, if there is a problem in nothing but darkness, if there is a difficulty in our Christianity, if there is a lack of freshness in our engagement with the Lord, it has nothing to do with God and everything to do with us.
David Spoon:And the reason that's important to understand is because God is continually doing new things.
David Spoon:Revelation 21:5.
David Spoon:He says, Behold, I make all things new.
David Spoon:Not I did make, not I will make.
David Spoon:I make, present tense, all things new.
David Spoon:So if you're a person who feels like you've had stolen blessings, broken dreams, and lost time, I have a very cool message for you.
David Spoon:Jesus Christ is the redeemer.
David Spoon:And just to put a big bow on this whole package, it is never too far gone for God to do something where the redemption outweighs the disappointment.
David Spoon:I've got to say that line again, and you must hear it.
David Spoon:It is never too far gone for God to do something where the redemption outweighs the disappointment.
David Spoon:God can make one year seem like a thousand, and in that truth alone can make the quality of your life so much better, greater and longer and stronger than you have ever imagined.
Narrator:David Spoon's life has been an experience.

David Spoon:Here's what else we're looking at during the show.
David Spoon:Lessons for surviving, living and prevailing politics, Entertainment and current events.
David Spoon:Personal revelations, spiritual observations.
David Spoon:My life's Insanities and oy vey, so much more.
David Spoon:Now, we've proven 15 million times that this show is not a professional radio show.
David Spoon:In fact, the very introduction we started off with 33 minutes ago, which went by like five minutes long, that was proof that I don't know how to do anything that I'm doing.
David Spoon:But I want to verify that with the most important person in regards to professional radio.
David Spoon:Kind of like the head of the Avengers, the Captain America of professional radio, our very own Jam and Jacob.
David Spoon:Jam and Jacob is the David Spoon Experience professional radio.
Jammin' Jacob:No, it is not.
Jammin' Jacob:David.
David Spoon:I don't think anybody can argue with Captain.
David Spoon:I mean, Cap's in charge.
David Spoon:We all know that.
David Spoon:We've seen the movie.
David Spoon:Even Iron man not in charge.
David Spoon:Besides, he needs therapy.
David Spoon:Excellent answer to that.
Jammin' Jacob:Yes, I have my shield.
Jammin' Jacob:And I'm ready to tell you that it's not professional radio.
David Spoon:It is definitely not professional radio.
David Spoon:But here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:We do want to hear from you.
David Spoon:We want to know how you're doing.
David Spoon:We want to know because you are a part of the show.
David Spoon:It's not just entertainment element.
David Spoon:It's fellowship.
David Spoon:It's strengthening one another and blessing one another and encouraging one another and lifting up one another.
David Spoon:And he that refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
David Spoon:Hint, hint, hint.
David Spoon:That's a good clue.
David Spoon:So you can reach out to us during the show.
David Spoon:You can email us.
David Spoon:Davidemustincrease.org you think, well, why would you use that email?
David Spoon:Because it comes right here on my phone in front of me so I can read it.
David Spoon:That's why.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or on top of all that stuff, you can call the telephone.
David Spoon:You mean you use a telephone?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:And when you call that number, you'll end up talking to Jammin Jacob.
David Spoon:Talking to Jammin Jacob.
David Spoon:Walzer Man.
David Spoon:That's like waking up and feeling like you got a great night's sleep.
Jammin' Jacob:Thank you, David.
Jammin' Jacob:Happy Wednesday.
David Spoon:Happy Wednesday to you, my friend.
David Spoon:That was a very fast half hour, wasn't it?
David Spoon:That was like.
Jammin' Jacob:Yes, it flew by.
David Spoon:That one just went zoom.
David Spoon:Sometimes it's really weird.
David Spoon:All right, so here's the dealios.
David Spoon:You're going, what's the dealios, Dave?
David Spoon:The Delios is maybe You've got a praise report.
David Spoon:Maybe you've got a prayer request.
David Spoon:Maybe you've got something you wanna share.
David Spoon:Maybe you got something that's on your heart.
David Spoon:Maybe you just wanna give a shout out to other brothers and sisters, have been a blessing to you.
David Spoon:Cool.
David Spoon:Do it.
David Spoon:Because that's what this is about.
David Spoon:It's about encouraging one another and strengthening one another.
David Spoon:Maybe you just wanna give a shout out to Jesus.
David Spoon:I mean, I know you're doing that on a regular basis, but I'm just telling you, there's nothing wrong with that.
David Spoon:That's the cool stuff about our faith.
David Spoon:It's not.
David Spoon:Well, it should be done like this.
David Spoon:And it should be done like this.
David Spoon:And it should be done like this.
David Spoon:Hey, take that churchianity, just crumple it up and throw it in a garbage can.
David Spoon:Here's what you do.
David Spoon:You remember that Christianity is a living relationship with the living God made possible through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:Live it that way, it will be an adventure and a venture and not just a disappointment and a drag and a slush.
David Spoon:Here we go, more stuff to do.
David Spoon:That's not how faith is.
David Spoon:And we're gonna get into that in depth.
David Spoon:But before we go anywhere else, let's make sure that you guys are staying true.
David Spoon:Studying to make sure that you are a workman approved, rightly dividing the word of truth.
David Spoon:Is the book of Robom in the Old Testament, the New Testament or neither?
David Spoon:The book of Rohoboam.
David Spoon:Is that in the Old Testament, the New Testament or neither?
David Spoon:If you think you know the answer, reach out to us.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or you can send an email.
David Spoon:Davidemustincrease.org is the book of Robom in the Old Testament, New Testament, or neither?
David Spoon:You have that opportunity to answer that question.
David Spoon:I do know that people are going to be calling in.
David Spoon:I do want you to be aware that there are no changes on the horizon for the show from what I can tell.
David Spoon:Is that nice?
David Spoon:I almost feel like Noelle and I are back to the back, like back to normally kind of thing.
David Spoon:Wouldn't that be phenomenal?
David Spoon:We're getting closer and closer.
David Spoon:We're gonna try and get everything hooked together.
David Spoon:And so we're really close.
David Spoon:We've got rid of.
David Spoon:We did a Purge with the family, all the extra food.
David Spoon:Yesterday we did a purge.
David Spoon:Out, out, out, out, out.
David Spoon:Like that's enough.
David Spoon:So we're trying to get back to.
David Spoon:I don't know if it's normal out of regular.
David Spoon:I don't know what you call it, but we're trying to get back to where it's, you know, we know how to function.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Anyway, I'm gonna find out from Julianne.
David Spoon:I do wanna give an update on this.
David Spoon:She should hear on Friday what is happening with that Stay angel situation?
David Spoon:They do feel it's very favorable right now, but we'll not get confirmation till Friday.
David Spoon:So if you guys could keep that in your prayers.
David Spoon:You don't have to spend an hour praying about it.
David Spoon:Just mention it before the Lord.
David Spoon:That would be awesome.
David Spoon:And then I'll give you any other updates.
David Spoon:We are gonna be going.
David Spoon:I can't tell if it's four weeks or six weeks from now.
David Spoon:We're gonna be getting into the Book of Malachi.
David Spoon:Ooh.
David Spoon:People are gonna think, well, that'll be fun.
David Spoon:Not as much as you think.
David Spoon:That's all.
David Spoon:I'm gonna just say that there.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Is the book of Robom in the Old Testament, New Testament, or neither?
David Spoon:We do have somebody on the line.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
David Spoon:David.
Sergio:Good afternoon, Sergio.
David Spoon:Hello, Sergio.
David Spoon:How are you?
Sergio:Good, how are you?
David Spoon:Well, it was a tough week of football, my friend.
David Spoon:It was a tough week.
Sergio:Well, I, I being.
Sergio:Being a sports fan my whole life, David, I, I, I, I, I granted you the obligatory 24 to 48 hour morning series.
David Spoon:That's so kind.
Sergio:That's the reason why I'm calling in today.
David Spoon:That is so, so funny.
David Spoon:That's so funny, Sergio.
David Spoon:And I was telling, literally when I walked in, I said, just talking to Jam and Jacob, I said, it was a great night last night.
David Spoon:He's like, what happened?
David Spoon:I said, I didn't have a football team lose.
David Spoon:It's like, I got a break.
David Spoon:Excellent, brother, excellent.
David Spoon:Are you ready for the triv?
Sergio:Yes, absolutely.
David Spoon:All right, here we go.
David Spoon:Is the book of Rohoboam in the Old Testament, New Testament, or neither?
Sergio:Well, due to my DFN practice, because of you, David, I'm gonna say neither.
David Spoon:You are correct, Amanda.
David Spoon:Sir.
David Spoon:It's quite the fascinating story, actually.
David Spoon:Rehoboam was the son of Solomon, and he was the king that was in charge when the nations split.
David Spoon:And what people don't realize is that he was trying to gather an army to go Fight to kind of reunite.
David Spoon:And the Lord approached him and said, don't, because this is all from me.
David Spoon:And it was just like, oh, that was the end of that.
David Spoon:Because otherwise he'd been fighting God.
David Spoon:So excellent job, my brother.
David Spoon:Absolutely phenomenal.
David Spoon:How are you?
David Spoon:How's the journey?
David Spoon:How was life?
Sergio:Good.
Sergio:I just wanted to share with you.
Sergio:I think you asked me this last time I called in.
Sergio:I think I.
Sergio:There was another subject that I.
Sergio:Subject matter that I called in for.
Sergio:But I am in Deuteronomy still.
Sergio:And I really want to let you know that.
Sergio:You know how you tell me that the word of God sometimes, you know, jumps up.
David Spoon:Yep.
David Spoon:Yep.
Sergio:Jumps out at you from the book.
David Spoon:Yep.
Sergio:And I think I've heard come some of your fills.
Sergio:Or maybe you said this in passing, but you said that Jesus.
Sergio:This was the only book that Jesus Christ quoted whenever he was tempted by the devil.
Sergio:Was Deuteronomy correct?
Sergio:And once I read, I'm in that neighborhood of that chapter.
Sergio:And once I read that, David, it really kind of jumped at me.
Sergio:I was like, oh, my goodness.
Sergio:This literally is the wording that Jesus Christ used.
Sergio:And you know me, David.
Sergio:I mean, I'm reading the Bible for the very first time in my life, and I will.
Sergio:I will testify that it.
Sergio:It.
Sergio:It was an experience.
Sergio:And there I am highlighting and putting X's all over that little area because I'd never read it in my life.
Sergio:And the fact that Jesus Christ used it before, I.
Sergio:I can tell you that it was an experience.
Sergio:But, yeah, everything.
Sergio:David, I'll get your comment off the air.
Sergio:Enjoy this weather and thank you for all you do and love you in Christ.
David Spoon:Love you in Christ, brother.
David Spoon:Excellent.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:Excellent.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:And what Sergio brings up is a really important point, and that is this.
David Spoon:In Hebrews, chapter 4, verse 12, it says the word of God is alive.
David Spoon:So it's not a coincident.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:I used to use this line.
David Spoon:It's a little arrogant, but it's somewhat funny in that is I never met coincidence, but I did meet Jesus.
David Spoon:So when you're reading the Bible and something happens between what you're reading, remember it's just a book.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Except for it's the Holy Spirit that wrote that book.
David Spoon:It's the Holy Spirit that lives inside of you.
David Spoon:And there's this connect.
David Spoon:And then that description, I didn't originate that description, but I can't remember who the person who told it to me.
David Spoon:But it's as though the words jump off that page and kind of like hit you right in the heart and in your mind, and you just, like, go, whoa.
David Spoon:And then you realize, well, this is way.
David Spoon:This is way cool.
David Spoon:It's way bigger than my little brain thought was really going on.
David Spoon:The Lord is doing something awesome, and it can be.
David Spoon:And what's amazing about this is if you're at the point where you're reading your Bible and you're not having it anymore, ask God to do that.
David Spoon:That means that you're reading a little bit more to read than to listen.
David Spoon:And what you want to do is just be aware that think things pop off on a page.
David Spoon:And it's just so funny because today I jump in the word.
David Spoon:So let's use Sergio, what he's talking about.
David Spoon:So I jump in the words.
David Spoon:The exact same thing happens in 1st Peter 4, 9.
David Spoon:It says, have hospitality with one another.
David Spoon:And then almost like a parenthesis kind of thing, it says, without complaining.
David Spoon:And then I had to think about, boy, I had family over.
David Spoon:And.
David Spoon:And I didn't complain a lot, but there were a couple of times where I did complain.
David Spoon:And it's like, lord, I shouldn't have been complaining that family's over.
David Spoon:I should have been hospitable and kind of that.
David Spoon:But it's like, it just.
David Spoon:It challenges you, and then you.
David Spoon:I think you should interact right on the spot.
David Spoon:When the Lord has something jump off the page, take a moment and talk to him.
David Spoon:Say, oh, that's so I'm seeing that now.
David Spoon:Like, talk to him just like, it's happening.
David Spoon:Like, I'm seeing that now.
David Spoon:Cause he's right there in the room with you.
David Spoon:That's part of the relationship.
David Spoon:That's part of the connect.
David Spoon:And what a blessing to hear.
David Spoon:Sergio's reading it.
David Spoon:His BFN is in the book.
David Spoon:His big fan knows, and it's speaking to him because it's alive, and it's alive in him.
David Spoon:Doesn't that just fire you up a little?
David Spoon:Like, yeah, man, that's what I want, right?
David Spoon:Great job, Sergio.
David Spoon:Great job.
David Spoon:And thanks for the mercy weight on the football.
David Spoon:I'll just leave that there.
David Spoon:In the meantime, we're gonna do our DNA.
David Spoon:D.
David Spoon:Get ready.
David Spoon:D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:So I'm just gonna use the Daily Planet.
David Spoon:It's a newspaper that comes out every day.
David Spoon:What else do you need to know?
David Spoon:That's it.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily through prayer, through his Word.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Fellowship is a part of that and everything else.
David Spoon:But let's start at the core, right?
David Spoon:Let's start at the basic food and water Wait.
David Spoon:Let's start at the core.
David Spoon:Let me rephrase that.
David Spoon:Oxygen.
David Spoon:Let's start there.
David Spoon:That's the place to start.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:D Like oxygen.
David Spoon:N Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Don't be ashamed of what Jesus had to say.
David Spoon:Even if you're still learning and growing and people try to trap you or catch you or whatever.
David Spoon:So what?
David Spoon:That's their one big thrill.
David Spoon:Their next big thrill, when the trumpet blows is they're going to end up going to hell.
David Spoon:That's not a good thing.
David Spoon:So don't let that impact you.
David Spoon:Don't let people shame you.
David Spoon:How you don't let them shame you is you don't receive it.
David Spoon:You're a jerk.
David Spoon:Don't receive it.
David Spoon:You're a mean guy.
David Spoon:Don't receive it.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:You shouldn't say things about other ministers.
David Spoon:I don't receive it because that's not true.
David Spoon:Sorry.
David Spoon:It's like.
David Spoon:D Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:And never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.
David Spoon:A Always be ready.
Jammin' Jacob:To serve.
David Spoon:Ready.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:If the Lord.
David Spoon:If you heard this right now, are you ready?
David Spoon:That's all I'm asking.
David Spoon:If the bridegroom comes now, are you ready?
David Spoon:Do you have oil in that lamp?
David Spoon:Are you ready?
David Spoon:Are you aware?
David Spoon:Are you staying connected?
David Spoon:Are you staying in connection with the Lord?
David Spoon:Or is everything else in the world, like paying bills or doing this, is that more important?
David Spoon:I mean, you don't live your life to pay bills.
David Spoon:I know, but I want to have a nice house.
David Spoon:I don't.
David Spoon:There's nothing wrong with having a nice house.
David Spoon:You just don't live your life for that.
David Spoon:You live your life for the Lord.
David Spoon:Just keep that priority.
David Spoon:If there was no money, no finances, no economy, no anything, would you still love Jesus?
David Spoon:That's all?
David Spoon:Of course.
David Spoon:And I want to honor him with everything I have, every breath that I take.
David Spoon:I want to do the best I can.
David Spoon:Do I often?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:But do I want to?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:I want that.
David Spoon:He knows that.
David Spoon:D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:Can you believe a third of this hour is already over?
David Spoon:We'll take a short break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Smoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.

Trivia Host:What is the David Spoon Experience?
Trivia Host:You say, I'll put it to you like this.
Trivia Host:Do you love a good joke?
Trivia Host:That's pretty bad.
David Spoon:What do you call an animal that doesn't practice what it preaches?
David Spoon:A Hippocratic.
David Spoon:Come on.
Trivia Host:Do you love being able to ask questions, comments, or having someone to pray for you?
David Spoon:Do you have an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question?
David Spoon:We don't want it to die of loneliness.
David Spoon:We want it to have a chance.
Trivia Host:And last but not least, do you love some trivia?
David Spoon:All right, we got our trivia question.
David Spoon:Who made clothes out of leaves that were sewed together?
David Spoon:Somebody want to answer the trivia question?
David Spoon:Okay, hold on.
David Spoon:Hold on here.
David Spoon:I.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
David Spoon:We're talking to Mary.
David Spoon:This is Al.
Deborah:This is Brother Ace, this is Eric, this is Deborah.
Trivia Host:Now, if that doesn't make you curious, maybe you should tune in and check it out for yourself.
David Spoon:Think of me as the big brother that won't go away.
David Spoon:That's me.
Trivia Host:Tune in to the David Spoon experience weekdays at 1:30pm on 770 kaam.
David Spoon:A big portion of being guided is asking prayer.
David Spoon:When you're praying with people, fellowship amongst other people can lead you to guidance.
David Spoon:It's happened on more than one occasion.
David Spoon:For me, counsel is obviously very good, both spiritual and not necessarily biblical.
David Spoon:Also, practical counsel is good.
David Spoon:Circumstances often speak to us and give us guidance.
David Spoon:Open doors or for that fact, closed doors.
David Spoon:We know His Word gives us guidance.
David Spoon:We know in 2 Corinthians 2, 13, 14, Paul said that he used peace of mind as an aspect of guidance.
David Spoon:These are all the Holy Spirit leading and guiding us.
David Spoon:Of course, the number one element for guidance is to be led by the spirit, right?
David Spoon:These are all hugely important.
David Spoon:The David Spoon Experience welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's Ka Men 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Let's see how good everybody thinks they can do on this one.
David Spoon:What beheaded prophet was buried by his disciples?
David Spoon:Was it Stephen, John the Baptist, Philip, or Bartholomew?
David Spoon:What beheaded prophet was buried by his disciples?
David Spoon:Stephen, John the Baptist, Philip or Bartholomew?
David Spoon:Matthew 14, 9, 12 is your reference point if you think you know the answer.
David Spoon:Well, by golly.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Was it Stephen, John the Baptist, Philip or Bartholomew?
David Spoon:Matthew 14, 9, 12 is how you want to get to that.
David Spoon:In the meantime, we are going to fire into the word of God, because I love the word of God and I'd love to share it with you guys, and I hope it's a blessing.
David Spoon:This is just.
David Spoon:You just can't make this stuff up.
David Spoon:There's no way anybody can come up with this.
David Spoon:It's just so brilliant.
David Spoon:So past us.
David Spoon:Revelation 21:5, he who was seated on the throne said, I am making everything new.
David Spoon:So Revelation has 22 chapters.
David Spoon:This is in the second to last chapter towards the end.
David Spoon:This is God after everything else that's going on.
David Spoon:Telling in summation of the 66 books, in these last two verses or two chapters, he's like, I am making everything new.
David Spoon:I think the King James behold, I maketh all things new.
David Spoon:I'm trying to tell you something.
David Spoon:This is in the perfect present tense Greek.
David Spoon:What does that mean?
David Spoon:It's the continual action concurrently, thereof, now and forevermore.
David Spoon:And what the Lord is saying is, I ain't old, I do new.
David Spoon:That's a nice way to put it.
David Spoon:And so one of the things that happens for Christians is they like myself, like yourself, like everybody.
David Spoon:You go through different seasons and ups and downs.
David Spoon:But what we need to be aware of is that if our Christian journey is old or dull, the problem is not with God.
David Spoon:Even if you can't get to nailing each thing down, you have to understand his sovereignty, his authority, his position, his activity.
David Spoon:Behold, I am making all things new.
David Spoon:There is nothing done.
David Spoon:Boring old With God.
David Spoon:What's amazing is that people who live in religion actually have a great deal of boredom.
David Spoon:And people who look at other people who are in religion go, gosh, how boring.
David Spoon:And I don't actually disagree with that.
David Spoon:But if you are in a living relationship with a living God, and he is making all things new, it's never dull.
David Spoon:You think it'd be dull if you were hanging out and engaging with the smartest alien being ever in the universe.
David Spoon:And every day you get to kind of connect to him.
David Spoon:You think that'd be dull.
David Spoon:And God is yet beyond that.
David Spoon:So I'm going to read a verse, and the reason I'm going to read it is because I want to kind of saturate it, because I'm going to teach on it again in a couple of weeks, maybe about six weeks.
David Spoon:But it's just so important.
David Spoon:And this is what this verse is.
David Spoon:It's coming out of Isaiah 43, 18 and 19.
David Spoon: And we talked about: David Spoon: Are we going to thrive in: David Spoon:That's kind of a nice little saying.
David Spoon:It's kind of cool.
David Spoon:Everything's cool.
David Spoon:But then I share with you this thing where the Lord showed me, hey, get ready to receive.
David Spoon:That's something the Lord put on my heart for us, for the people of God, that there should be this.
David Spoon:Like, we always know the Lord's going to do something cool.
David Spoon:But I'm telling you, it's a lot closer than we think it's going to be.
David Spoon:Get ready to receive.
David Spoon:And so I want to pull this out of Isaiah 43.
David Spoon:I'm going to probably use this a few times throughout the year.
David Spoon:Here's what it says in Isaiah 43, 18, 19.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Forget the former things.
David Spoon:Do not dwell on the past.
David Spoon:See, I am doing a new thing now.
David Spoon:It springs up.
David Spoon:Do you not perceive it?
David Spoon:I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
David Spoon:Some of us need to get on board with God's word and just do what it says.
David Spoon:Forget the former things.
David Spoon: esting stuff that happened in: David Spoon:Everything God did for you, that was awesome, that drew you near to God.
David Spoon:That's something you hang onto as a memorial.
David Spoon: But by and large,: David Spoon:Good, better, indifferent.
David Spoon:It's over now.
David Spoon:The Lord is saying, don't dwell on the past.
David Spoon:Why is that, Lord?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Why should we not dwell on the past?
David Spoon:I'm doing something Else now.
David Spoon:Isn't that amazing?
David Spoon:I'm doing something new right now.
David Spoon:It's going to spring up.
David Spoon:Can you perceive it?
David Spoon:Can you not get it?
David Spoon:I'm making a way in the wilderness.
David Spoon:What do you mean, making a way in the wilderness?
David Spoon:There's a pathway even when we're in the wilderness.
David Spoon:I'm bringing streams in the wasteland.
David Spoon:What do you mean streams in the wasteland?
David Spoon:A wasteland has no water.
David Spoon:Okay, I want to make sure I say that right because I don't want to really misapply it.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Wasteland has no water.
David Spoon:Let me say that again, because I don't think.
David Spoon:Think I'm getting it through.
David Spoon:A wasteland has no water, and God is going to bring streams into the wasteland.
David Spoon:That's some cool stuff.
David Spoon:Okay, I'm on board.
David Spoon:I'm cool.
David Spoon:Let's do it.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Got it?
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:This is what the Lord is trying to get to you.
David Spoon:And I.
David Spoon:And I do think.
David Spoon:Do I think it's only this year?
David Spoon:Do I think the Lord's coming back this year?
David Spoon:Boy, I hope he's coming back this year.
David Spoon:I hope he comes back before the end of the show.
David Spoon:And every real Bible believing, born again Christian would actually believe that and say that.
David Spoon:But he is making it clear he's doing new things.
David Spoon:We know that that's his character.
David Spoon:And he's telling us, look, get ready to receive.
David Spoon:Get ready to receive.
David Spoon:I remember I asked him, I was like, how do I.
David Spoon:By believing me, oh, you know what?
David Spoon:I'm going to take my faith.
David Spoon:I've had my faith at a 4, 5, or 6.
David Spoon:I'm getting that faith up to a 7, 8 or a 9.
David Spoon:Maybe I can even get it to a 10 and see mountains move.
David Spoon:It doesn't have to be a lot of faith.
David Spoon:It just has to be pure faith.
David Spoon:That's the irony behind it.
David Spoon:It just has to be like a mustard seed, a pure seed.
David Spoon:That means I can't have any doubt with it.
David Spoon:And he who's seated on the throne is saying, I'm making everything new.
David Spoon:Forget the former thing.
David Spoon:Isaiah 43, 18, 19.
David Spoon:Forget the former things.
David Spoon:Do not dwell on the past.
David Spoon:The Lord's like going, that's enough.
David Spoon:We talk about this in many, many times since we've done the show.
David Spoon:And I've talked About this in 45 years many, many times.
David Spoon:If you lived in Detroit, Michigan, at 10 and Southfield and you went across the street 10 and south, it was a very busy intersection.
David Spoon:10 in Greenfield is also a very busy intersection.
David Spoon:Here's what you don't do.
David Spoon:You don't walk through the crosswalk looking backwards.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because you would absolutely get hit by a car and you don't walk through your life.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because it's Detroit.
David Spoon:They don't care.
David Spoon:And so you don't walk in your life looking backwards because somebody's going to hit you with a car.
David Spoon:You need to be looking forwards.
David Spoon:I mean, just think about that.
David Spoon:Oh, Telegraph Road, 12 Mile.
David Spoon:That's.
David Spoon:My dad had apartments there.
David Spoon:Anyway, so what I'm trying to make sure you understand is this.
David Spoon:Don't dwell on the past.
David Spoon:Forget the God is saying, I'm doing a new thing.
David Spoon:I'm doing something new.
David Spoon:Look at this.
David Spoon:It's like, here, I'm doing something new.
David Spoon:Look.
David Spoon:Don't you perceive it?
David Spoon:Sometimes we don't perceive it because we're stuck in the past.
David Spoon:It's like I'm making a way in the wilderness follow.
David Spoon:I got you covered.
David Spoon:I love you.
David Spoon:Come on, we're gonna do cool stuff.
David Spoon:Let's do cool stuff.
David Spoon:Get it.
David Spoon:All right, the trivia question.
David Spoon:I gotta answer the trivia question.
David Spoon:Then we'll take our break.
David Spoon:The trivia question was simply this.
David Spoon:What beheaded prophet was buried by his disciples?
David Spoon:Was it Stephen, John the Baptist, Philip or Bartholomew?
David Spoon:Matthew 14, 9, 12?
David Spoon:It was John the Baptist or as we affectionately call him here, Johnny B.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take a break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:The David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:I want you to catch something because for some reason the church feels the need to over answer cultural changes that take place.
David Spoon:Look at Jesus.
David Spoon:He didn't care about anyone's opinion.
David Spoon:That's what it says right in the text.
David Spoon:And you do not care about anyone's opinion.
David Spoon:Jesus didn't go.
David Spoon:Yes, I do.
David Spoon:No, he didn't.
David Spoon:He didn't because he didn't.
David Spoon:That's exactly right.
David Spoon:He is true.
David Spoon:So they said, we know that you are true and teach the way of God.
David Spoon:That's alethesis, which means speaking the truth completely, nothing hidden, being real.
David Spoon:He teaches the way of God correctly.
David Spoon:That's a la which is the case is according to the fact and doesn't care about anyone's opinion.
David Spoon:The Greek word here literally means does not look at people's faces.
David Spoon:In other words, when you're doing radio, I can't see faces except for Captain Chris.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:I can't see if your face is giving approval or denial because the only way that happens is by text or phone or whatever the case may be.
David Spoon:When an actor acts, they can look on stage and see with the audience if there's approval.
David Spoon:Jesus didn't seek people's facial approvals.
David Spoon:He didn't care.
David Spoon:And you think, well, no, he cared plenty.
David Spoon:No, he cared about the mission to save the lost.
David Spoon:He didn't care about those who were going to reject in the capacity that he sought their approval.
David Spoon:He never sought their approval.
David Spoon:He didn't live, let me say that he didn't live for people's positive responses to him.
David Spoon:He walked at the pleasure of the Father.
David Spoon:Whatever the Father wanted him to do or say, that's what he did.
David Spoon:Which is when you'll hear me say, we do it for the author and not the audience.
David Spoon:Because I think some of you people are literally some of the nicest people I have ever met in my human journey, but you still don't have a heaven to put me in.
David Spoon:And that's what it comes down to.
David Spoon:And I know it says, that sounds so, you know, harsh or whatever.
David Spoon:It's like, are you serious?
David Spoon:Okay, if the Lord tarries and I die, you are not going to help me?
David Spoon:I just don't really know what to say it, you know what I'm saying?
David Spoon:And so I want you guys to catch that.
David Spoon:To catch.
David Spoon:This is why Jesus was so different.
David Spoon:It's because he spoke the truth.
David Spoon:He said it according to what the truth was.
David Spoon:And he didn't seek people's approval and share it.
David Spoon:He just was like, look, I'm telling you exactly what the Father's told me to say.
David Spoon:This is exactly how the Spirit's leading me.
David Spoon:Exactly what the Father wants to be said.
David Spoon:And then you look at that and you go, ooh, how about us?
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the truce station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's K double Amen 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Who's having more fun than I am?
David Spoon:Nobody.
David Spoon:I just want to point that out to you real quickly.
David Spoon:Let's get our next trivia question.
David Spoon:See if you guys can get this.
David Spoon:This is not difficult, but maybe you will have to look it up.
David Spoon:Let me just say that you might have to actually look this up.
David Spoon:Which book has a verse in its 24th chapter that says children will not be put to death for their parents sins?
David Spoon:I'm going to give you a big hint.
David Spoon:So hold on.
David Spoon:Which book has a verse in the 24th chapter that says children will not be put to death for their parents father's sins.
David Spoon:Is it Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy?
David Spoon:Your hint, Sergio, is in this book right now.
David Spoon:Do you like that?
David Spoon:That's a great hint.
David Spoon:Which book has a verse in its 24th chapter that says children will not be put to death for their parents father's sins?
David Spoon:Is that Exodus, Leviticus, numbers, or Deuteronomy?
David Spoon:Your big hint, Sergio, who called in, is in this book now reading it.
David Spoon:Ha.
David Spoon:That's a good one.
David Spoon:All right, if you think you know, and then I gotta send you up to the website.
David Spoon:So.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or send an email davidemustincrease.org I'm not gonna say anything else on the money.
David Spoon:I'm just gonna tell you this.
David Spoon:If you can give, great.
David Spoon:If you can't, great.
David Spoon:Doesn't matter.
David Spoon:Check out the website.
David Spoon:I love you guys.
David Spoon:Thank everybody for all your support and all of your prayer support, financial support, other support.
David Spoon:It's awesome.
David Spoon:It's awesome to be connected to all of you.
David Spoon:I can't wait till we're having the banquet with the Lord.
David Spoon:Gonna be phenomenal.
David Spoon:Check out our website.
David Spoon:He must increase.org prayer request.
David Spoon:He must increase.org praise report looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:He must increase.org confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:He must increase.org he must increase.org can't touch this.
David Spoon:Can't touch this.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:I love it.
David Spoon:That was for me.
David Spoon:That was for me.
David Spoon:All right, we do have somebody on the line ready to answer a trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Samson:Do you want a chocolate?
David Spoon:I want a chocolate.
Samson:Yeah.
Samson:My mama always said life was like a box of chocolate.
Samson:You never know what you're gonna get.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:You know what?
David Spoon:I do want a chocolate.
Samson:I will send you a Willy Wonka chocolate Factory, brother.
David Spoon:All right, my friend, let me set you up and you can knock it out for me.
David Spoon:Okay, sure.
David Spoon:All right, here we go.
David Spoon:Which book has a verse in the 24th chapter that says children will not be put to death for their parents father's sins?
David Spoon:Exodus, Leviticus, numbers are Deuteronomy.
David Spoon:And it is the book that Sergio is currently reading.
Samson:I don't know what Sergio is reading, but my guess is book of Deuteronomy.
David Spoon:Deuteronomy is correct, sir.
David Spoon:Sergio is our brother who calls.
David Spoon:He made his decision for the Lord, and he calls and he keeps us updated on his Christian progress.
David Spoon:And he is right now in the book of Deuteronomy, reading through the Bible for the first time.
David Spoon:Time.
Samson:Oh, cool.
David Spoon:Yeah, it's pretty cool.
David Spoon:So, I mean, we love it.
David Spoon:He did the New Testament, now he's doing the Old Testament.
David Spoon:So that's kind of cool.
David Spoon:What's happening with you, my friend?
David Spoon:My brother?
David Spoon:What up?
Samson:Not what, just praising them that today is a little warmer day than yesterday.
David Spoon:You can't quite see the breath coming out of you as you did the other day, right?
Samson:Yeah, well, the reason is my car heater broke down, so it was so cold yesterday.
David Spoon:Oh, wow.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:I'm so sorry to hear that.
David Spoon:How'd you get through that?
David Spoon:What did you do?
David Spoon:Did you just, like.
David Spoon:I mean, that's.
Samson:I was just praising the Lord to.
David Spoon:Amen, brother.
David Spoon:That's the right spirit to have.
David Spoon:I thank you, Father.
David Spoon:I know you are with me.
David Spoon:I know you're helping me.
David Spoon:I know you'll comfort me as long as you didn't stop in the middle of that prayer and then go.
David Spoon:Because you froze.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Awesome, bro.
David Spoon:Awesome.
David Spoon:I'm glad to hear that.
David Spoon:Anything to say?
Samson:Yesterday, I felt the experience of a frozen chosen person, so I was praising him.
David Spoon:Great thing about frozen chosen, they're still chosen.
David Spoon:They're just frozen.
David Spoon:Yeah.
Samson:It doesn't matter.
Samson:Even if I'm a Presbyterian, he chose me.
David Spoon:All right, my brother, Anything we can pray for you over.
Samson:Well, just pray that the Lord will keep using me, the people that he brings every day in my life, so I will be effective.
Samson:Let's do it according to his will, not my manly flesh.
David Spoon:Got it?
David Spoon:Yeah, it gets challenging, especially when you're called upon.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:It does have its moments, right?
Samson:Yes.
David Spoon:Let me pray for you, Father.
David Spoon:I lift up my brother Samson to you and, Lord, I know exactly what he's talking about.
David Spoon:There are moments, Lord, where all of us as your servants, it's easy for us to step in as we see fit or as we think fit, and not to be sensitive to your holy spirit.
David Spoon:And we apologize for that.
David Spoon:We're not even going to make anything out of that.
David Spoon:We apologize.
David Spoon:We could probably do a better job there, Lord, so please forgive us for that.
David Spoon:But the prayer here, Lord, is that we would function in partnership with you, in concert with you, in sync with you, and that we would not step ahead of you or be behind you, but walk in that perfect walk with you and that, Lord, you would give us within ourselves a sense of peace and rest and patience as we try to get ahead on too many things and maybe don't spend enough time just rejoicing and refreshing and restoring in your presence and recognizing that's what we need to carry on the next mission.
David Spoon:I pray you give great wisdom, insight and sensitivity to Samson, and you bless the work of his hands as he tries to further your kingdom and honor your in everything he thinks, says and does.
David Spoon:We ask you to bless him as our brother in Jesus name.
David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Samson:Amen and amen.
Samson:Thank you, brother.
Samson:And maybe one day when I'll see you, I'll give you a box of chocolate.
David Spoon:I appreciate that.
David Spoon:Make it large.
David Spoon:That's all I'm gonna say.
Samson:All right.
Samson:Thank you, brother.
David Spoon:God bless.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
Samson:God bless.
Samson:Bye bye.
Samson:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right, let me get into this next thing.
David Spoon:I want to talk to you for a second and I don't know if we'll break or not.
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:It'll depend on how I feel like the Lord is lead and I'll do my best to follow.
David Spoon:So just work with me here.
David Spoon:Do you ever feel like in your life that there's been something that's been stolen?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Do you ever feel like something has been stolen, maybe that you had a blessing and it didn't go as far as you were thinking it would go?
David Spoon:Did you ever have something that you had kind of stuck in your mind and you're like, this is how it's going to come together and then it doesn't happen?
David Spoon:In fact, the Bible says hope deferred makes the heart sick.
David Spoon:So there is a deferment of something you have been hoping for.
David Spoon:Have you ever had this experience?
David Spoon:And I think most people would just really gravitate to this, but you feel like you have lost time, you have lost different things.
David Spoon:We have talked about this in the past, we will talk about it in the future.
David Spoon:But we need to be aware of what's going on in the present.
David Spoon:This is what God says.
David Spoon:This is the kind of changes that the Lord wants to make in our lives.
David Spoon:Joel 2:25.
David Spoon:The Lord says, I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts.
David Spoon:It's amazing that he uses four descriptions of the locust swarming, which is being crowded in hopping, which means almost like elusive stripping, which is the stealing part, and cutting, which is the wounding part.
David Spoon:And The Lord says, I'm going to give it back.
David Spoon:I'm going to help you.
David Spoon:I'm going to move you.
David Spoon:I'm going to get you back to that place.
David Spoon:And people think, well, how is that even possible?
David Spoon:How can what I lost be brought back?
David Spoon:How is that?
David Spoon:Because that's exactly what the word redeemed means.
David Spoon:It means to buy back.
David Spoon:So when you go to a pawn shop.
David Spoon:I know nobody's ever gone to a pawn shop.
David Spoon:We're all Christians.
David Spoon:I get it.
David Spoon:And then you have a ticket and you take an item and then they give you money for it and you gotta, you know, they give you a little ticket for it.
David Spoon:Then when you come to reclaim that property, you give the ticket and you pay it and you have redeemed the ticket.
David Spoon:Or let's use Chuck E.
David Spoon:Cheese.
David Spoon:That's better.
David Spoon:You go and you play at the skittle ball.
David Spoon:Not one of my strengths.
David Spoon:And you throw the little ball up into those little holes.
David Spoon:And I usually get 10 on those, but 20, 30, 40, 50.
David Spoon:And then you get tickets.
David Spoon:You go to the ticket counter with those tickets and you redeem it for a present.
David Spoon:That's redemption.
David Spoon:Only you're the present.
David Spoon:You're the one that's redeemed, and the Lord is the one that does the buying back.
David Spoon:And every time you're going through something and you think, it'll never be the same.
David Spoon:It'll never be like this.
David Spoon:It'll never be like this.
David Spoon:First of all, it's not even true.
David Spoon:You don't know if God will redeem that.
David Spoon:That's not even for you and I to say.
David Spoon:That's why we surrender to the Lord.
David Spoon:But the Lord is able to take one moment and make it last a lifetime because we are stuck by time and he is not.
David Spoon:So I want us to do maybe a better job of like, you know what?
David Spoon:We are going to move from this disparity to blessing, this anticipation that even if we feel like it's been stolen or broken or we lost it, Jesus is our redeemer.
David Spoon:He's the one that buys it back.
David Spoon:He is our redemption.
David Spoon:We don't have to be afraid.
David Spoon:We don't have to operate in fear.
David Spoon:We don't have to operate in anxiety.
David Spoon:We can operate in the peace that passes all, Understand?
David Spoon:We can operate in the presence of God, recognizing that he knows exactly what we need each moment of each second.
David Spoon:And even though the Lord's brought us through troubles and difficulties, he always restores us.
David Spoon:He always brings us back up.
David Spoon:That's what David was Talking about, he said, you will not allow my holy One to see corruption in the ground, always knowing it's coming back.
David Spoon:And the Lord is the redeemer.
David Spoon:Jesus is your redeemer.
David Spoon:And the Lord will not leave you in the lurch.
David Spoon:So take that faith in you that says he will and kick it out of your heart and mind, because God is faithful and true and he will not abandon his kids.
David Spoon:Do you hear that?
David Spoon:Some of you feel like you have been abandoned.
David Spoon:You know what you need to be looking for?
David Spoon:The redemption.
David Spoon:You need to be anticipating.
David Spoon:You need to be thinking, I should be getting ready to receive because God is doing a new thing.
David Spoon:We should be recognizing that he brings streams in the wasteland.
David Spoon:There's water coming for some of you that have been in dirt for a long time.
David Spoon:Get that.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take a short break, then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the true station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break, don't go anywhere.
Announcer:You may be from a Baptist background, a Pentecostal background, a non denominational background.
Announcer:David Smith.
David Spoon:David.
David Spoon:David.
Announcer:David Spoon has that, too.
Announcer:You may be from the Church of Christ Presbyterian Methodist Church of God or some other denomination, but if you're looking for a show that's Bible based, spirit led and a bit nutty, then give David a listen for a while.
Announcer:If you like it, great.
Announcer:If not, no worries.
Announcer:The David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:What is the David Spoon Experience?
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is Dave.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Deborah:Hi, David.
Deborah:This is Deborah.
David Spoon:Hi, Deborah.
David Spoon:How are you?
Deborah:I'm wonderful.
Deborah:I have a praise report.
David Spoon:All right, fire away.
David Spoon:What a great way to start my comeback.
David Spoon:Come on, tell me what's going on.
Deborah:Okay.
Deborah:Well, I guess I'll explain.
Deborah:I was in stage four kidney disease and I thought I was going to have to go on dialysis because of my uncontrolled diabetes.
Deborah:And I got my test back yesterday and the nephrologist told me that my kidneys are good.
Deborah:They're normal.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:How did.
David Spoon:What?
Deborah:Yes.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:You were.
David Spoon:Wait, wait, wait.
David Spoon:Back up.
David Spoon:You were at State.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:Wait, go through that again.
Deborah:Kidney disease.
David Spoon:And then you were praying.
David Spoon:I know you got prayer from other places because you need to get a prayer.
David Spoon:As many prayers as many places.
David Spoon:You did, but I know we did pray for you, too, and it's like we're a part of that and you're rejoicing in the Lord.
David Spoon:That is so cool, Deborah.
David Spoon:I am so blessed.
Deborah:Oh, me too.
Deborah:And I want to thank everybody for their prayers.
Deborah:And I'm always praying for everybody too.
David Spoon:That is so, so good.
David Spoon:I am so.
David Spoon:I'm telling you that there is joy in my heart because the Lord has touch you.
David Spoon:I am just blessed beyond measure.
David Spoon:That is so awesome.
Deborah:Oh, I know.
Deborah:I thought I was gonna have to go on dialysis and now I don't have to.
David Spoon:Praise the Lord God Almighty.
David Spoon:Let me just give thanks while you're with me on the phone.
David Spoon:Just real quickly, if you don't mind.
David Spoon:Let me just say a prayer for.
David Spoon:Thanks, Father.
David Spoon:We just thank you for our sister.
David Spoon:We thank you for this praise report.
David Spoon:We just ask you to fill her heart with worth joy, continue to let her share and testify like she just did.
David Spoon:And let it be a blessing to other people.
David Spoon:Like it's just been a blessing to me.
David Spoon:We thank you for it.
David Spoon:We know you did it.
David Spoon:We praise you for it.
David Spoon:We just acknowledge you for it and we just so thankful for our sister and pray continue blessings in her life.
David Spoon:In Jesus name.
David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Deborah:Amen.
Deborah:Thank you, David.
David Spoon:Oh, amen.
David Spoon:I'm so happy.
Deborah:God bless you all.
David Spoon:God bless you as well.
David Spoon:How fantastic.
David Spoon:I mean, there's nothing I can say now.
David Spoon:What am I supposed to say?
David Spoon:Good job, Deborah.
David Spoon:Good job.
Deborah:Okay, thank you.
Deborah:Bye bye.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:That is so, so great.
David Spoon:Oh, welcome back to the David's Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's Ka Men 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:We have very limited time and I have three or four things I still want to say.
David Spoon:So here's what we're going to do.
David Spoon:We're going to very simply throw this into the history moment.
David Spoon:We're going to give ourselves a quick history and we're going to bounce in, bounce out and let me finish off.
David Spoon:Okay, Go.
David Spoon:All right, so here we go.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:It's national blonde Brownie day.
David Spoon:Okay, so that's a brownie that's like got white chocolate and so on and so forth.
David Spoon:It's a brownie.
David Spoon:Doesn't matter what it is.
David Spoon:It's great.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:You gotta like brownies, right?
David Spoon:You like brownies, right?
Jammin' Jacob:I love brownies.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:National polka dot day.
David Spoon:Nothing for that.
David Spoon:National hot sauce day.
David Spoon:I like hot sauce.
David Spoon:I like Tabasco.
David Spoon:And then for aunt Deb it's answer your cat's questions day.
Jammin' Jacob:We do that every day.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Answer your cat's question.
David Spoon:I haven't decided to tell you whether I love you or not.
David Spoon:Okay, that's the cat okay, here we go.
David Spoon:I want you to catch this.
David Spoon:We only got like four.
David Spoon:Four minutes.
David Spoon:Three minutes.
David Spoon:We need two hours on this show.
David Spoon:Listen to this.
David Spoon:Listen to this.
David Spoon:Listen to what I'm going to say, okay?
David Spoon:Psalm 71.
David Spoon:20.
David Spoon:Though you have made me see troubles many and bitter, you will restore me to my life again.
David Spoon:From the depths of the earth, you will bring me up again.
David Spoon:Even though the Lord has allowed us to go through the wilderness.
David Spoon:What happens when you get out of Egypt?
David Spoon:You go through the wilderness, but it gets you to where?
David Spoon:The promised land.
David Spoon:So you go from the bondage through the wilderness to the promised land.
David Spoon:Psalm 66, verse 12.
David Spoon:We went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.
David Spoon:You get this.
David Spoon:It's not how you start, it's how you finish.
David Spoon:When people play golf, it's you drive for show, but you putt for dough.
David Spoon:What does that mean?
David Spoon:That means that when people drive in golf, they hit their first one.
David Spoon:Everybody goes, woo.
David Spoon:Whoa.
David Spoon:Hit a really long ball.
David Spoon:That doesn't mean anything.
David Spoon:It's how the hole is finished.
David Spoon:That's why you drive for show, but you putt for dough in the Christian walk.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:It's not how you start, it's how you finish.
David Spoon:And God is the one who's telling you, listen, I'm going to restore your life again, and I'm going to bring you up again.
David Spoon:You've been through fire, you've been through water, but guess what?
David Spoon:I'm going to bring you into a place of abundance.
David Spoon:Isn't that phenomenal?
David Spoon:A place of abundance?
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:2 Corinthians 9, 8.
David Spoon:God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
David Spoon:Who's doing this?
David Spoon:God.
David Spoon:What's he doing?
David Spoon:Blessing you.
David Spoon:How much is he blessing you?
David Spoon:Abundantly.
David Spoon:For what?
David Spoon:So that in all things, at all times, you'll have everything you need, and you'll abound in doing the things in the name of the Lord.
David Spoon:How about Psalm 126?
David Spoon:When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.
David Spoon:Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy.
David Spoon:The Lord is able to restore to you that which has been stolen, broken, or lost.
David Spoon:Because God is the Redeemer.
David Spoon:And there is nothing, nothing that you have gone through that he cannot turn around from the palm of his hand.
David Spoon:Listen, it is important for you to catch that God's redemption far outweighs our disappointment.
David Spoon:Listen to that line.
David Spoon:Burn that.
David Spoon:Write that.
David Spoon:Burn that in a piece of wood.
David Spoon:Figure it out.
David Spoon:God's redemption far outweighs our disappointment.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because that's who God is.
David Spoon:That's why.
David Spoon:And you're his kid.
David Spoon:All right, folks, you have been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station air in Texas.
David Spoon:22 and a half hour break.
David Spoon:Then we'll come back, More insanity with Spoonanity.

Deborah:That you give me.
Deborah:Thanks a lot for all the ways.
