Speaker A:

Hey.

Speaker A:

Hey.

Speaker A:

So I thought I'd put a quick bonus episode together for you today because if you have been listening to my episodes, seeing my emails, seeing my posts about Ditch the diet, I know you might be thinking it sounds great, but how exactly is this going to work for me?

Speaker A:

So I'm just going to take a few minutes to walk you through it, to let you know what's going on and hopefully to answer any questions that you have got along the way.

Speaker A:

So, first of all, who exactly is Ditch the Diets for?

Speaker A:

Well, it's really for anybody who is thinking about dropping diets because you're sick of the time, effort, brain space that it takes up, but you are worried that doing that is going to give you permission to eat all the things and you're just going to end up out of control.

Speaker A:

Now, when I say diets, what I mean is any form of tracking restriction, food rules that you have for yourself, even if it's as simple as I weigh myself all the time just to keep me on track and I don't want to do it anymore, that all kind of comes under that umbrella of ditching diets.

Speaker A:

And it's essentially moving away from the idea that you need a diet or you need some level of tracking or restriction to keep you on track and moving you towards the idea that you actually can be more mindful about the choices that you make and you can trust yourself around those choices as well.

Speaker A:

And what we're really doing is we're creating that bridge, that pathway between the two things.

Speaker A:

So giving you the security to do that, giving you the space to do that in a way that is going to feel really, really safe.

Speaker A:

And really what my a behind it is that you can do things like keeping chocolate in the house and forgetting it's there, which is a biggie because we often say to ourselves, I can't have sweet things in the house because I'll just eat it, right?

Speaker A:

We want to be able to have those things for the times that we want them, but we don't want it to be taking up that brain space thinking, oh, there is that chocolate there.

Speaker A:

Should I have that chocolate?

Speaker A:

And, you know, spending the whole day basically talking yourself out of it, but putting yourself in a place where you're like, it's there.

Speaker A:

I can have it if I want it and I can leave it if I don't.

Speaker A:

You want to be able to go out, order that burger and just enjoy every bite without spending the whole time tracking and feeling guilty about what you have just done or how you have just ruined your good in in quotes week.

Speaker A:

You want to be able to let cake just be cake, not the precursor to a weekend sodic binge.

Speaker A:

You want to stop thinking about food, worrying about your weight every hour of the bloody day, and you want to just trust your body around food without all the second guessing.

Speaker A:

You want to feel at home in your body.

Speaker A:

So what we're going to do inside ditch the diets is we're really going to rebuild that trust and give you the space to do it.

Speaker A:

So it's not jumping from one thing to the other, it's going right.

Speaker A:

We are working towards a place where we can give that up.

Speaker A:

But here's the bridge, here's the way that we're going to do it.

Speaker A:

Here's the way that we're going to create the safety for you to be able to do that.

Speaker A:

So what we're going to be doing is showing you where in your life you're in reaction mode right now.

Speaker A:

And what I mean by reaction mode is all of those places where you make a very reactive emotion led decision about what you're gonna do.

Speaker A:

So you might look in the mirror one day.

Speaker A:

You don't like what you see, so your automatic reaction is, I'm gonna go on a diet.

Speaker A:

Because in the moment it makes you feel better.

Speaker A:

The idea that I'm gonna sort this out, it makes you feel better.

Speaker A:

Or you have a tough few days at work and you dive into the wine and then your brain starts going, it's okay, I'll start again next week.

Speaker A:

Or the school holidays arrive and you're like, well, it's inevitable that I'm just gonna eat a load of crap for the next couple of weeks.

Speaker A:

I'll get into healthy eating again when they're back at school.

Speaker A:

So that's reactive mode.

Speaker A:

It' repeating these same patterns over and over and over again, which you know ultimately are not doing you any favors.

Speaker A:

They're not getting you any further forward, but they make you feel better, they make you feel safe.

Speaker A:

And so what happens is we just keep repeating these patterns around food, even though intellectually we know better.

Speaker A:

So we're going to take you from there into a place where you can be more responsive.

Speaker A:

And when you are being responsive, you have a bit of space.

Speaker A:

You're making more peaceful decisions around food.

Speaker A:

You're making decisions that are not led by every single emotion that you feel, but they are led by what your body actually needs in that moment.

Speaker A:

So we're going to take you to that responsive place where you don't need to follow rules all the time.

Speaker A:

You feel like you can actually start to trust yourself now.

Speaker A:

The best bit about Ditch the diets is that this is not some course that is going to sit in your inbox half finished.

Speaker A:

We're going to be working together, we're going to be working live to see where and why you're falling into old patterns in your life.

Speaker A:

And we're going to help you to start breaking that pattern.

Speaker A:

So the way that we're going to do that, we start with a prep weekend end.

Speaker A:

So beforehand I'm going to send you a few questions that are going to get you really focused on what you want to get out of your experience and what your current start point is.

Speaker A:

So it's really important that we understand this is exactly what I want to get out of this.

Speaker A:

Because then that way when you actually go into the coaching, we can stay focused on that one thing or those couple of things.

Speaker A:

We then move into three days of life coaching on telegrams.

Speaker A:

That'll be the Tuesday, the Wednesday and the Thursday.

Speaker A:

What happens is I put a voice note into your telegram group.

Speaker A:

So telegram is a messaging app.

Speaker A:

If you don't already have it, it's free to get.

Speaker A:

I put a voice note into the group in the morning with a little bit of teaching for the day and then a prompt, a prompt for your coaching.

Speaker A:

You then feedback whenever you can during the day.

Speaker A:

So there's no particular time that you have to do these things.

Speaker A:

You can listen to the voice note whenever you want and you can respond whenever you want.

Speaker A:

All I ask is that if you want coaching that day, you respond by the end of the day and then I'm going to coach you back.

Speaker A:

So there may be a bit of going back and forth.

Speaker A:

Sometimes I ask further questions and things like just to help you to get the clarity that you need.

Speaker A:

And the aim of that coaching is that I am going to help you to see your own patterns more clearly.

Speaker A:

Because as we all know, we often can't see it for ourselves when we're actually inside it.

Speaker A:

Not to brag, but I'm really good at seeing these things really quickly.

Speaker A:

I'm really good at seeing the things that you can't see.

Speaker A:

And what often happens is I will coach people and I'll say, oh my God, you're so right.

Speaker A:

So you can give me a little bit and I can see quite a lot and I can really help you just to see those personal patterns.

Speaker A:

And then what we do from there is we start to build that more responsive framework for Making decisions around food.

Speaker A:

Now, within the telegram group, each person has their own personal space.

Speaker A:

So you can hear other people's messages or read other people's messages and see all of that going on.

Speaker A:

But what I encourage you to do first and foremost is to focus on your own space within that group.

Speaker A:

So having that space means that you can keep track of all the conversations you're having with me.

Speaker A:

You can go back and listen to them when you want to.

Speaker A:

Now if you feel like, actually, actually I've got a bit of time and I'd love to go and hear what other people are working on, that can be really helpful as well.

Speaker A:

And maybe you'll come back to that in a couple of weeks afterwards as well.

Speaker A:

Because sometimes people are saying things which you haven't thought of yourself and you're going, oh my God, yeah, I do that as well.

Speaker A:

Or I feel that as well.

Speaker A:

Or yeah, that happens to me.

Speaker A:

So it can be helpful.

Speaker A:

But I do encourage you to focus on your own space first and foremost on your own personal coaching.

Speaker A:

Okay, so it's, this is group coaching, but you get a very, very personalized, personalized response and coaching from me.

Speaker A:

So we'll do that over three days.

Speaker A:

So a voice note each morning, a prompt, and then you come back to me and I will coach you on that.

Speaker A:

And then we finish off with a Zoom wrap up party the following Monday evening.

Speaker A:

And what that is there for is to consolidate everything that's come up over the week.

Speaker A:

Because what often happens with this as well is that we have a lot of aha moments during the week and that we almost need a couple of days just to absorb everything that has gone on, everything that we've learned, all the patterns that we have started to see.

Speaker A:

So you'll get a couple of days just to like really absorb everything.

Speaker A:

And then on the Monday evening we will get together on Zoom and we're going to consolidate everything that we have gone through.

Speaker A:

I'll give you any final bits of coaching, answer any questions that you've got about it, and give you the one key action that you need to continue building on once we're finished.

Speaker A:

The one key action that is going to start to, to help you to create that trust within yourself so that you can free yourself from diets and you can have that more peaceful relationship around food.

Speaker A:

So that's how it works.

Speaker A:

We start from the 6th of October, but doors are going to close on the 2nd because you need to get started with your prep weekend.

Speaker A:

It's very quick, by the way.

Speaker A:

It's only about 15, 20 minutes, but you need to be ready to do your prep weekend.

Speaker A:

So doors are going to close on Friday the 2nd.

Speaker A:

And just to preempt any a couple of questions that I always get about it.

Speaker A:

Number one, time, do it whenever suits you.

Speaker A:

During the day is totally flexible.

Speaker A:

So if you're like, do you know what, I'll put time aside at 4 o' clock in the afternoon to listen and to respond.

Speaker A:

Great, you do that.

Speaker A:

Or if it's first thing in the morning, great, you do that.

Speaker A:

Whatever works for you is absolutely fine.

Speaker A:

You'll need about 10 to 15 minutes to listen to each voice note and then obviously the time to respond with your coaching.

Speaker A:

Second question I always get is, why only 10 spots?

Speaker A:

And it's basically because I'm coaching you individually and I want to be able to do that properly.

Speaker A:

So for me, anything beyond:

Speaker A:

And so that means that I can really do this and I can do it well.

Speaker A:

So if you're ready to go, you can join now for 47 pounds split pay is available.

Speaker A:

So you can split that into two separate payments.

Speaker A:

And all you've got to do is head to lifeeditcoaching.com forward/ditchthediets and I will put the link in the show notes as well.

Speaker A:

Any questions, head over to Instagram @lifeeditwithalex and drop me a DM.

Speaker A:

But I really hope you're gonna join me.

Speaker A:

Can't wait to see you on the inside.

Speaker A:
