INTRODUCTION:
There's a cry coming from hungry hearts, who want to know the Lord Jesus Christ in a greater way. The salvation experience, though it was wonderful, can only be the beginning. It's by His grace that we can have more as we seek Him.
SHOW NOTES:
The Lord wants to be the most important relationship in our lives each day.
When we embrace each day like a child, then we are humble enough for the Lord to impart His kingdom.
God completes His work in us by renewing our mind and bringing a fresh awareness of Him to our hearts.
Even though the Lord is capable to do everything Himself, He has chosen to move through us, the Body of Christ.
Christ gifted His people with the Holy Spirit, so we can have a fresh and alive experience with Him every day.
QUOTATIONS:
He has to make it simple in us moment by moment in telling us who He is and how He's bringing us forth. And so we have to become like those children who know moment by moment.
It's God doing all of this and we're just these humble vessels here that He's doing it through. We have to remind ourselves that it's by His grace and His kindness.
We cannot do it without Him, but you know what? He has elected to not do it without us.
The very purpose of Him sending His Son was to create a people for His habitation.
There's many that'll be just like Him. He's the first.
Be Christ in the earth. Let Christ have arms and legs and walk in the earth.
We are His body functioning in the earth, being led by His Holy Spirit.
REFERENCES:
An He said, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Then I said “Alas, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, because I am a youth.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, 'I am a youth', because everywhere I send you, you shall go, and all I command you, you shall speak.
Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you,” declares the Lord.
Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, ”Behold I have put my words in your mouth. See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And He called a child to Himself and set him before them and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God.
TAKE AWAY:
As part of His Body, we open up to accept how God is moving today. It is not complicated, we simply believe to be childlike and give our focus to Him every day. In our daily lives, as we accept the workings of the Holy Spirit, Christ becomes more real, and He is revealing the Father.
Ken:
Our path is the Lord Jesus Christ, His lordship, knowing Him in a greater way every day. When I awaken every day, the Lord is new to me. His salvation is something greater to me than anything else. I wanna know Him more.
Debbie:
All I wanna do is know Him. The lordship of Jesus Christ is the most important thing. He is making me complete. I'm just open up to Him and I just give myself to Him and He's the one that does the work in me and through me. He give me eyes to see, and ears to hear so that I know what He is doing and how to be the vessel. I can do it, but not in myself. I do it through His presence in me.
Jan:
Even our salvation is growing and expanding. And we just say we are about the business of the King, but He becomes greater to us every day.
Pat:
Like a child rejoice in our never ending story. He is our never ending story. He has to make it simple in us moment by moment in telling us who He is and how He's bringing us forth. And so we have to become like those children who know moment by moment. There's more, there's more, there's more.
Jim:
I really wanna live a moment like a child lives where everything in God's glory is just such a, such an experience. It's so wonderful to experience it.
Ken:
Another place where we could begin to move and function as He did, and our focus has to continually be brought back to who He is and what He's completing in us. I will complete the work in and through you.
Roger:
Every step we take has its fulfillment. God is always attempting to bring us into a renewing of our mind and our hearts. Every realm God brings us to is fresh, and we see aspects of Him that we've never seen before. We see a greater revelation of His kingdom and what it means.
Mike:
The Father is being revealed in us and through us more and more because Christ has been revealing the Father to us so much because when we see Him, we see the Father. I wanted to share with you something outta Jeremiah to bring us back down to earth, so to speak. In case we get too heavenly minded we have no earthly good.
He says, "now the Word of the Lord came to me saying, before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations. Then I said, alas Lord God. Behold, I do not know how to speak because I am a youth. The Lord said to me, do not say I am a youth because everywhere I send you, you shall go and all that I command you to you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them. For I am with you to deliver you declares the Lord.
Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, behold, I have put my words in your mouth. See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms to pluck up and to break down, to destroy, and to overthrow, to build and to plant."
Who's doing all of this? Everything I just read there implies it's God that's doing all of this, and we're just these humble vessels here that He's doing it through. We have to remind ourselves, that it's by His grace and His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. "For by grace, you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves.
It is a gift of God, not as a result of works that anyone should boast. For we are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
Bill:
We cannot do it without Him, but you know what? He has elected to not do it without us. We can't steer park car. God will do the steering, but you will provide the inertia. So He is elected to participate with us. And we all know He could do it all Himself. He's elected not to. Our challenge is to find that niche and in any given situation, how much has to be God and how much he wants our involvement in.
Dale:
The very purpose of Him sending HIs Son was to create a people for His habitation. The father taking and receiving those sons who Christ has raised up.
Lois:
He's the first born among many. There's many that'll be just like Him. He's the first.
Ron:
God's so much bigger than our finite minds. Yes, he's God, and yes, the Lord Jesus Christ is king of kings and Lord of lords. We don't even understand that. We, we have no clue what that means in the big picture, the huge thing that He's doing. Step back a second, because God's moving in so many ways.
Lois:
Where are we looking for the Lord? He said, "the next time you see Me, you'll say, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
Ron:
That's right.
Lois:
And He's coming to be glorified in His saints.
Ron:
I just want to drill that into me. We're His body. Don't take your body and cut it off from your head and go, that's second rate. The head's the first rate, and the body's the second rate. That's one thing,
Lois:
Be Christ in the earth. Let Christ have arms and legs and walk in the earth. Don't keep it up here in your little head saying, everybody, listen, this is the doctrine. No, walk it.
Ken:
We are his body functioning in the earth, being led by His Holy Spirit.
