Here’s the bottom line of life in God’s purpose for you, Micah says: do what is right; cherish and live out an attitude of mercy toward everyone you meet; and walk with learner’s heart toward God. As I think about personal growth, I think Micah is on tow something: what really matters in life? What’s at the deep down core of living? Why do you do what you do? Say what you say, spend what you spend? In fact, over the next 30 days, I want to drill at this essential question about life and why we live it the way we do, from lots of angles. Today, I want to re-emphasize Micah’s point with two simple phrases: Go deep with God; care deeply about people. Micah believed that was pretty much the essential occupation of life.
