Shownotes
One of the biggest hurdles for many of us when wanting to start our own podcast is the technical. The gear, the sound, the set-up, the audio proofing, the recording a session, all those wires and software and what the heck is a DAW? It sounds kinda overwhelming. But this week’s guest Scott Slaughter breaks it down for us in this episode practically.
Scott's Checklist for Building Your OWN Home Studio:
- Know what type of interviews you’ll be doing
- Consider the sound quality that is important to you to have
- Understand the space you’ll be recording in
- Decide if you want to sound treat your space naturally or with more audio-specific items
- Hire a sound consultant like Daniel Tureck
- Decide on gear purchases and set-up
- Create a welcoming environment for your guests
