Shownotes

Host Anthony Desiato and guest Chris Clow (The Comic Binge) dig into the modern classic "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, & the American Way?" from 2001's ACTION COMICS #775 — by writer Joe Kelly and artists Doug Mahnke & Lee Bermejo — which famously pits Superman's sense of heroism against Manchester Black and his ruthless Elite.

Anthony and Chris also discuss the 2012 animated adaptation (SUPERMAN VS. THE ELITE) and the comic book follow-up "Ending Battle," the 8-part storyline in which Manchester Black dispatches an army of D-list villains to attack Clark Kent's loved ones and acquaintances.

PLUS: Anthony welcomes guest Perry Constantine (Superhero Cinephiles) for a special epilogue segment in which they address YOUR reactions to Action #775!
