Welcome to Soulful Paws Meditation, a part of the Cat Dad Show. My name is Scott Colby. Thank you so much for joining. Today we're going to explore the concept of creating a sacred space. A special place for you to reflect, grieve, and begin the healing process after the loss of your beloved pet. Now, whether this space is physical or mental, it's a sanctuary where you can connect with your feelings and memories without judgment.

And just a reminder, everybody grieves differently and it's important to honor your own journey. So, let's take this time together to create a space that brings you comfort and peace.

Begin by finding a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. You can gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in, letting it fill your lungs completely

and slowly exhale, releasing any tension you may be holding.

Let each breath guide you into a state of relaxation.

Imagine yourself standing at the entrance of a place that feels safe and comforting for you. It might be a quiet corner of your home, a peaceful spot in nature, or a place you've always felt drawn to.

This is the beginning of your sacred space. A place where you can honor your grief and connect with the memory of your pet.

As you step into this space, take a moment to observe your surroundings. Notice the colors, the textures, and the objects around you.

Everything here is chosen by you, for you to bring a sense of peace and reflection.

Perhaps there are items that remind you of your pet, a favorite toy, a collar, or a photograph.

These objects hold special meaning and connect you to the love and joy you shared.

Find a comfortable place to sit within this sacred space. Feel the support of the ground or a chair beneath you and allow yourself to settle in.

This is your sanctuary, a place where you can fully experience your emotions without fear or judgment.

Take a deep breath in

and exhale. As you exhale, imagine releasing any feelings of guilt, confusion, or sadness that may be weighing on your heart.

It's okay to feel these emotions, but in this space you have the opportunity to let them flow, to let them be acknowledged, and then set aside for a moment of peace.

Now, As you sit in this sacred space, allow yourself to remember your pet. Recall the times they made you laugh, the comfort they provided, and the unconditional love they offered.

Let these memories fill your heart, not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the time you had together.

In this space, you are free to grieve in whatever way feels right to you. There is no timeline. No expectations. Only the gentle understanding that healing is a journey. And it's okay to take it one step at a time.

Consider how you might return to this sacred space whenever you need to.

It might be a physical place you visit or a mental sanctuary you carry with you, accessible whenever you need comfort and reflection.

Know that this space is always available to you, a safe haven where you can reconnect with your feelings and the love you shared with your pet.

Spend a few moments here in silence. Simply being present in your sacred space. And let the peace of this place wash over you. Soothing your heart and mind. And know that you are not alone in your grief. And that it's okay to take the time you need to heal.

When you're ready, take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale, breathe out. Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.

You can wiggle your fingers and toes, stretch if you need to,

and gently open your eyes.

Carry with you the sense of peace and comfort you found in your sacred space.

for joining me in this meditation. Remember your sacred space is always available to you. whether it's a physical place or a mental sanctuary. Be gentle with yourself as you navigate the grief of losing your pet, and know that it's okay to return to this space whenever you need comfort and reflection.

Take care, and until next time, be kind to yourself.
