From a Full Cup is a mental wellness education podcast that teaches women to prioritize their wellness and put themselves first, because you can’t pour from an empty cup.
I'm your host Natalie Mullin , Certified Wellness Educator, Speaker, Facilitator and Teacher. Every Thursday I release a new episode, teaching women how to dream big, take action and move the needle forward in life.
[00:00:27] Natalie: Just take care of yourself. Take care of your needs. And I've also been doing the same thing with others. Actually, I literally just sent an email to someone who's sick and can't do a podcast recording. And so that's what I said to her. I'm like, I just paused. I was like, you know, it's just so nice that You can show up in a way and just be kind to another person and tell them like don't worry about it because I know a lot of times people don't take sick days from work or people show up sick to events and feeling under the weather or just feeling mentally unwell which and I really want to point that out because sometimes you're mentally unwell and And you, nobody else can tell because nobody else knows what's going on in your head and so you might look fine and you might be smiling and laughing and chatting away but deep inside your head are, you might be feeling depressed, you might be feeling stressed and overwhelmed, you might be feeling anxiety, you might be feeling, um, you know, harmful thoughts, whatever the case might be and other people aren't aware of that.

[00:02:26] Natalie: I need time for myself. I need to rest. I need to decompress. I need to sleep. I just need quiet time. I need alone time, whatever that is. And I think if we start to use this language more, it normalizes the conversation of people advocating for their own wellness and advocating. for what is best for them based on their needs.

[00:03:11] Natalie: And enlightenment, um, action. So extend grace. Extend compassion to others and also to yourself. And that's all I've got for today, folks. Until next time, continue to serve yourself, your loved ones, and your communities from a full cup.
