Shownotes

You could say that Dan Brumm was in the box seat when it comes to the phenomenon that is Bluey, beginning work on the show before any of us even knew it was a thing.

Of course it was his brother Joe who dreamed up the Heeler family, enlisting Dan as sound designer for the original pilot (later to become The Weekend episode) back in 2016.

Dan has continued on in the role of sound designer for both seasons of Bluey, and will begin work on season three next month.

You'd also know him as the voice of Uncle Stripe, who Dan describes as a character that "makes some poor parenting choices!"

We caught up with Dan at the Enchanted Forest Playground in Ashgrove, where he was busy recording ambience for upcoming episodes of Bluey.

Away from Bluey, Dan is a professional voice over artist. If you'd like to dive deeper into the world of sound design and VO check him out on instagram - @danbrummsounds

Bluey's Brisbane is the podcast that explores the real life world of your favourite Heeler family.
