Thanksgiving. Already. Does anyone else feel like this is somehow impossible? I’m Dan Hansen and this is a Minute at RepcoLite.
My family can’t believe the year is this far gone. And like all years, it’s been a lot of ups and downs for us and the people around us. So when I think about wishing everyone a happy thanksgiving, I think of that: Not everyone’s happy. I just spoke with a friend who has a brand new grandbaby in the NICU in Grand Rapids. Life is great and fun and it’s also hard and scary.
But there’s strength in numbers. Community is such a buzzword, it’s almost off-putting at times. But we all know the importance of other people when we’re struggling. Family, friends, strangers . . . anyone else who can share a few steps with us. Or with whom we can share a few steps.
I’m thankful for the people around me–they’re a constant source of strength. And I’m praying that in this upcoming year, God will work in me and make me more aware of the needs around me–and braver to step out and meet the needs I can. So from all of us at RepcoLite, Happy Thanksgiving. I’m Dan Hansen and that’s a Minute at RepcoLite.
