In today’s episode, Jeff begins a series of shows exploring people who have created businesses based on their skills. In this show, Jeff interviews Brett Williams from Australia.

1. Going from being a Draftsman for a mining company to 2012 when the market imploded and he lost his job.
2. He was forced to make a decision that there was no such thing as job security which led him down the path of Network Marketing and Affiliate Marketing.
3. He had a bad experience with Network Marketing but believed in the concept.
4. All this led to him creating his own business and creating a marketing agency.
5. This has led to him creating a white label marketing agency service to help others launch their own businesses.
6. He manages the backend team of the process.
7. He has a custom SAAS build coming to that will allow him to grow the business even greater.

1. If you woke up and your business was gone, you have $500, a laptop, a place to live, and food, what would you do first? “First, I need to figure out how to make money. I would go down the path to consult with people to help them design their marketing strategies where I don’t need a product right away.”
2. What is the biggest mistake that you have made in business? “The biggest cost was the Network marketing company. I lost $30k in the process. However it made me learn more about marketing and websites which has led to my current business.”

4. What is a tool that you use every day that you would recommend? “Slack is my office. My team is all over the world. It is clean and tidy. They can see the info that is relevant to them.”

Jeff spent the early part of his career working for others. Jeff had started 5 businesses that failed before he had his first success. Since that time he has learned the principles of a successful business and has been able to build and grow multiple seven-figure businesses. Jeff lives in the Austin area and is actively working in his community and supporting the growth of small businesses. He is a board member of the Incubator.Edu program at Vista Ridge High School and is on the board of directors of the Leander Educational Excellence Foundation
